It's been that high for a while.

The beginning of this year Black Hammer started to get some new reader buzz. It was semi-popular when it came out, but it didn't translate to value. The SDCC was $5 at the show and was an easy sale of $20 immediately. But really this year is when it started to increase.

Right, it's somewhat ambiguous. I don't think a Marvel's Greatest, True Believers, etc...have ever shifted the market. I'm thinking more these new variant reprints of cover art on different stories. Like La Mole and that other garbage store that just makes virgin covers of popular variant and doesn't give the artist anything. Those have not caused a value drop across the board.

TWD #1, Captain Marvel #14, etc... Traditionally, TEC 880 is not a key. In the new world of comics, I agree, price determines "key" unfortunately.

Yes, Walking Dead is a key and has a TV show, so it wouldn't qualify. As far as a Modern goes, there isn't anything higher in terms of an 'A' cover that isn't a key. This issue is part of a popular modern story arc, but that's it.

Have there been any reprints that have caused the originals to go down?

All of these besides Earthworm Jim have also been at least optioned for movies at some point. I think all are still in the works. R & C has been released.

They have 4-5 shops now. Hit or miss, same as any shop, but I usually find a few good books. Some decent stuff. It's not like they had never been gone through either. ND goes through everything and picks the well known stuff. Then re-sorts them so there aren't any long runs of series. You have to go through everything. So, you're only ever going to find recent, low dollar hot books anyway with their stuff.

The "argument" is that the "creator" says 11. That's a lot of quotes (aka eye rolls) for one sentence.
