  1. Sorry, I was a page back and didn't see your response.
  2. Yes, I would agree 100%. They have similar errors graded both ways.
  3. Agreed, I'm not a Frisson fan, but I do think her WW covers and the Cho HQ are long term winners. And with that I mean $12 in 10 years. So I'm only buying in at $1-2 overstock bins. Lets not forget what happened to that Sienkwicz Hawkman cover. An early Rebirth winner.
  4. All my delays have been this month. December was actually better than I expected.
  5. These are all Priority mailings. First Class is usually 2 days, but they don't guarantee anything.
  6. Avengers 676 hit $25. But I feel this is people thinking they are "missing out on the next thing". Not good speculation on future character(s). Voyager is in and on several covers of 675. A book like Aquaman is one in a long line of DC B covers that have week of release fluctuations. Last week was Flash Mattina and another "flash" in the pan, JLA. Yet, nobody is posting on here.
  7. Thats exactly what I say and hope for the best. So far it's worked out. That's not the point. You said yours was delivered on time. Mine were not. I paid for a service that did not deliver, pun intended. So, 1. My time is being used answering questions and making excuses for USPS. 2. Am I getting a partial refund for the service I paid for not being met? Wouldn't a customer expect the same at your work?
  8. Ha, yes, very much so. Everybody wants to be a flipper now and is looking for the hot book without contributing. Look how many views this thread gets when someone posts. Look at the recent flavors of the week, a few Batman books (proposal, annual, white knight), mostly small gainers. There is money to be made out there, but it's not on old spec. and one week not books.
  9. I've shipped lots of packages in Dec and Jan. Many have arrived in time. I'm not the one promising 2 or 3 day delivery, but I'm the one paying for it. And then when it doesn't show, the buyer is contacting me asking where it is. Not USPS.
  10. You can pretty much guarantee, besides one good board memeber, if there is a post in this thread it's old news.
  11. Well, before the movie news it was a dollar book. It's not heating up, it already has risen in value.
  12. This doesn't say anything about printing errors which would be a pretty big portion of qualified I would assume. A Qualified label is used by CGC for certified books that have a significant defect that needs specific description, or to note an unauthenticated signature (one which was not witnessed by CGC). For example, a comic book with a missing coupon that otherwise grades 6.0 will receive a Qualified grade, avoiding a considerably lower grade. CGC would give this book a Qualified grade of 6.0 and a Label Text notation “COUPON MISSING FROM PAGE 10, DOES NOT AFFECT STORY.” Or, if the book is signed on the cover it may be noted as “NAME WRITTEN ON COVER IN MARKER.” RESTORED LABEL (PURPLE)
  13. Instead of looking high and low on here and guessing, you could just look at what the ones on eBay got.
  14. Seems speculators are pulling more for Bloodstones daughter to show up.
  15. I honestly remember looking for this book at a convention that has passed a year and already had another one. (So, over a year ago) At the time it was hot because, as I stated, he was announced for the Green Lantern Corps movie.
  16. Possibly, but CGC is only in one, ha.
  17. USPS doesn't shut down. It's self sustaining....supposedly.
  18. Right, you have a very unique situation.
  19. And that's why you use PayPal Goods & Services. I still haven't figured out what these services offer over PayPal Friends & Family.
  20. Yes, every retailer and artist hold some back for conventions. I'm saying it's not that many. Most of those warehouse were not sold out / in demand as can be seen on the previous page. Which includes 3 X-Men Gold variants.
  21. This was the original question. Your response of a variant seven years ago of a Marvel solicited store variant is not relevant. As I stated, I need more information from rogue to formulate a response. Because, as you know, there are ordering tiers. You can still have a Marvel variant cover with 500 copies. So, actually your response is incorrect that Marvel does not print 500 anymore.
  22. He has convention editions that he only sells there (roadshow variants) as well as hold backs, yes. At the end of the day product not sold is money lost. So, he wants to sell out. One time he tried to get cute and bump all the print numbers. Those did not sell out. I think it was the X-Men Gold covers. Again, big conventions are few and far between and he is not selling thousands at a convention. His website is now his moneymaker.
  23. Right, but they are not getting as many retailers. Which is why the minimum is higher. So your statement is moot.
