Books were not selling for highs in 2008. If you look at a book like Conan #1 it was a $4k book in 2007. (No sales in 2008) It wasn't until 5 years later (2013) that it started to rise in price. (minus an outlier sale in 2009 for $8300 )

So your view is correct but mine isn't? The age demographic is very important. When Disney does a movie it's high budget. They are not going to make a movie that has a very targeted demographic that would basically lose them money.

You're kidding right? They were all definitely relevant. They are some of the best know superheroes. As I stated before, Conan was selling about 2k a month at Dark Horse. Did any of those comics get below, let's say, 50k?

Don't mean to sound like a jerk, but 2k buyers a month is hard to keep afloat for a decent size publisher.

Speculating on the Big 2 is such a shoot. They have so many new characters all the time and so many in the bank they can use. DC has been on fire the last 4 months. Lots of not only new characters but stories that sell. BUT many have been one week spikes. Is Metal long term? I think yes, a decade from now. Im looking at Spawn and Black Mirror / Cyan (whatever she becomes). Personally I really like the story and art. It's lower print to boot.

I'm surprised how little WildCATS 2 sells for. 1. It's a true variant cover. 2. It's a white cover, newsstand to boot. I think it will have its day. I think they all will eventually. They are the Canadian editions of their day. Those have eventually come along.

That's Conan #1. No, I don't think slapping "Marvel" on a Conan movie does anything. Marvel movies do well because they are superhero movies. Also, not sure if you were aware, but they have been talking about a King Conan movie with Arnold as recent as 2017. That surely won't bring anybody below 30, maybe even 35.

I wouldnt insure that. Where is your receipt that you bought them? Then they come up stolen. You give them back, boom cash in your pocket and your friend gets their books back. Let alone how many comics are bought at conventions. I think they are just asking for proof of ownership. There really isn't a great way to prove it.

Purchased 6 comics. Priced great and packed well.

All books have been in a small vacuum. Conan has been down for the most part. The comparison was made to Star Wars. SW has remained relevant by producing programming for all ages. I feel only older generations have a relation to Conan.

I liked it. The first vol. is only 5 issues.

Because of all the "new" Conan fans and old? Conan hasn't been relevant in two decades.

The last Conan that made the sales charts it was ranked below 250. Dark Horse has some good titles, they are just not picked up by the masses. Much like any other publisher besides the Big 2. Ever read Lady Killer?
