  1. I would keep Chew on there as well. Panzer and Thief were victims of the "option hype".
  2. Damn, I might buy another copy at $15. We're just lucky to find them because they were produced local to us. The one guy at the cons tries to get $50 for his copy.
  3. That's not them on the cover? I'm not sure how people can argue Hulk 180 as a first appearance but a full blown cover is not.
  4. Not sure why Preacher Preview isn't labeled as such...but how about this guy?
  5. These are your opinions, but you are stating them as fact. The fact that there is not an industry-wide consensus on the definition tells you all you need to know. Who would even be the deciding authority?
  6. AMAZING SPIDERMAN 25 1:1000 REMASTERED JOHN ROMITA VARIANT
  7. It spiked a little when he was announced. Did the same thing all TV show books do now.
  8. Is there an industry accepted definition of 1st appearance anywhere? If not, it's all opinion.
  9. Yea, I posted that over in the Most Valuable thread. It was relisted from a previous auction that hit $3,550 but didn't meet the reserve.
  10. Just going by recent history. For event books that go across multiple series, there is usually one that has a lower print run and readers have to scramble to find it and will pay more so they can read the story for the entire event. Books like these that were harder to find went up in value. Readers want these for the content, so if it's a 1st or subsequent printing it doesn't really matter. If they don't reprint it, value goes up. Nightcrawler #7 (Death of Wolverine) Nova #36 (Thanos Imperative) All-New X-Men #22 & 23 (Trial of Jean Grey) Captain Marvel #14 (Black Vortex) etc...
  11. I think you hit the nail on the head. Secret Wars 8 seems easier to find than ASM even.
  12. Yea, by the time it was announced I'm sure the writing and art was being finalized. Usually these crossovers have one book that has lower sales and is harder to find. Looks like this is just between Weapon X and TA Hulk and the WMD one-shot. That being said, TA Hulk 19 may be the one to get as it isn't even cracking 20k right now. But the second print doesn't help.
  13. Yea, I noticed the past couple months that book has been on the rise. Not sure if it's Venom related or what. It is a tough book to find in 9.8. At least I have had a tough time. 9.8 - 201 9.6 - 245 9.4 - 156 Lots of graded copies out there to be pulling that price.
  14. Hmm, wonder if that was it. I got that price from a new account I started. Didn't know you could get a bigger discount for a better account. The $6.05 rate was from my account with over 1k feedback score.
  15. Anybody else get a little jump this weekend? Looks like Priority Legal is now $6.25 up from $6.05 last week and Medium Flat Rate is $12.40 up from $12.05.
  16. Didn't see it mentioned, ASM 638 hit $3,550 and didn't meet the reserve. Think it was $4k? Looks like it's listed again. On another note, a book that won't make this list but is hard to find: Venom Lethal Protector #1 black error cover CGC 9.8 $2,325 Does this normally go for this much?
