  1. Where is Bulletproof in this issue? I'm only seeing one black character named Black Samson.
  2. Sean Gunn was on Gilmore Girls? Welp, learn something new everyday!
  3. Understood, the analogy still doesn't hold up. It's marganiziling a product in general. You can get a Home Depot faucet for $90 or a Kohler for $400. Insurance companies have people that they pay to know know these things. So, quoting $100k in comic book losses they are going to pay for an expert to evaluate it.
  4. Point taken! i have been watching it since the movie announcement and have yet to buy one. I'll gamble, buts it's going to be at a very low buy-in with something like this.
  5. Mmm, no, you're probably not going to get his warehouse skylights at Home Depot. Those are residential retailers.
  6. Nowhere near that. Most of the booths were over priced as well, IMO. Harrisons and Zapps were good to deal with. Dave & Adams always has good prices, but it didn't seem like they had restocked since I saw them a couple months back.
  7. You've never heard of Ruth's Chris?
  8. Hmm, seems like they made a movie or two recently that was done with completely different members and it did ok.
  9. Hmm, been saving up from the "peace pipe"?
  10. What medium was used for the casting?
  11. That could be said for any book. I think it's a pretty fair evaluation.
  12. I sold all my Deadly Class when it was optioned. They are back to normal prices so there is room for them to grow, again, and I am buying with profits anyway. I hadn't seen a Stormwatch #4 in my searches until the past couple of months and I've found two. Unsure about long term with these unless they are 9.8. East of West is a great story. I will say though that I've never been all-out in terms of value appreciation. Lots of people bought in early, plenty to go around. It's a tough story to comprehend until you get fairly well into it because of all the players.
  13. American Gods #2 at 33k seems really high. Big hit for Dark Horse. Redneck #1 is higher than God Country #1 and remember, two covers for GC and one for Redneck. I Hate Fairyland #12 at 20k. Surprising hit. X-O Manowar goes from 60k for #1 to 20k for #2. I think that's a good indication of readership and what a high incentive cover can do for sales.
  14. Couldn't agree more. And with that being said, here's what's on my buy list currently: Avenging Spider-Man #9 (buy under $50, sell at $100) Hulk #449 Nailbiter #1 (& Ghosted #9) Deadly Class #1 Dollface #1 Baltimore Comic Con Gotham City Sirens #1 2nd Print Invincible #7, #13 Southern Bastards #1 Sunfire & Big Hero #1-3 (at low prices)
  15. Basing future value on the possibility of a movie or TV option is what's wrong with speculation today. The worst part is that the values for those aren't like they used to be. There are multiple options and characters announced every month, even weekly.
  16. Yea, that could be said with any comic. To put it in perspective there are over 2,000 Saga 1 9.8's on the CGC census. Batman Adventures 12 there are almost 600 9.8's. BA 12 is a much, much more well known character from the Big 2 that has been in a movie and has another coming. It's hovering around $1,500-1,600 right now.
  17. I don't think it's worth buying anything at this point. How's that Scout option doing these days?
