  1. Are these books we can't find or don't want to find?
  2. HTF JSC cover. That's it. No meat in those pages. That sums it up... htf JSC cover and first Shuri as BP on the cover... as far as bidders... it's got 7 days left... I'm sure there will be some movement at the end... I'm curious to see how much... Nobody is chasing the book because of some obscure character dressed as the Black Panther on the cover. They're also not chasing it because it's a hard to find Campbell cover- copies pop up fairly regularly every two or three weeks on eBay. They're speculating on it being "the next UXM 510 sketch" IMO. I have personally passed on the book many times because I do not feel it is Campbell's best work, the book is not part of a "run" title, and I would much rather have preferred it if it was T'challa on the cover. -J. Male Campbell work.....
  3. On that note, get these puppies ready: Power Pack returns in "Civil War II: Choosing Sides" #4. The anthology series also features J. Jonah Jameson, Colleen Wing and Nick Fury. http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/heroes-choose-sides-dead-no-more-prequel-tales-more-in-marvels-august-releases?utm_campaign=heroes-choose-sides-dead-no-more-prequel-tales-more-in-marvels-a&utm_medium=email&utm_source=breaking_bulletin
  4. Watch for Avengers #52 (BP joins Avengers) and #62 (original 1st solo BP story reprinted in JA #5) as well Yea absolutely! Avengers 62 is still selling for cheap considering it's age and importance. I think BP 5 is favored by the majority because 1. It's believed to be the start of new stories and many do not realize it's a reprint. 2. Jungle Action series has a lower print run than the Avengers books. 3. Cover has more eye appeal on Jungle Action. Unfortunately the Avengers book was subjected to the time period where they used the horrible logo / name graphic.
  5. Anybody look at Gambit #1 Gold lately? Raws seem to be selling at a healthy price even with the news of the movie being shelved. Gambit #1 Gold
  6. yeah, that's about right, the only issues I couldn't find. Wow - 66 does seem to have taken a jump. I think I stockpiled 8 copies that are in one of these boxes. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to need those copies back that I sold you last year. That's right I did buy 4 copies from you at the Harper show. At least I paid your $6 asking price!

  8. Takes time look how long it took for actual Outcast news. It was optioned before the book was released and has moved incredibly fast. Preacher on the other hand took forever. That was because of a guy named Kirkham. I suppose, never heard of him.
  9. Are you the CBSI GUY? Tron pump and dump Man these guys buy this stuff up then pump it ! Any one following these guys are C H U M P S ! Its not pump and dump. Its pump and chump.... Anyone with a brain knows those books have been bought by mostly BY PUMPERS before the hyped up web post. I mean this is getting desperate. Amen brotha !! I've asked this before and I think I got a response from you as to something like "you can tell the pump & dumpers". How are you supposed to talk about comics you like and not be considered a pump & dumper? The Tron variants have sold pretty well for a while depending on the cover. The ASM has been pretty consistently over $50. So true. Any book that gets talked about get essentially getting 'pumped', I mean look at this thread title. By that logic, anyone whose posted a book in this thread is a pumper no different than CBSI. Jerome Pumping and dumping falls under the "you know it when you see it" umbrella. Unfortunately people can't always see it. Very big difference between casually mentioning a demonstrative sales trend in this thread and posting an article on a website solely dedicated to making money by reselling books. And then using imaginary print numbers to push rarity of said books. And then having links to buy said books under said article. Are the Tron variants being mentioned because they are actually heating up? A few of those have always sold well (the ASM, the Hulks, the Avengers one with Moon Knight) but are they doing better now? If the argument to buy these books is simply that they've been ignored for the past 5 years and now people are catching on, well that doesn't hold much water. If you aren't using actual market data to make a case for a book here, then you better have some actual reasons, facts, and evidence to support your position. If your advice is of the "low print, variant cover, book has legs" variety then just please go away. This thread is about discussing books that are heating up. If its heating up because of a spec site, or someones granny recommended it , who cares , its still heating up. And some are interested in just that. If that annoys you, simply don't open the thread If a book is "heating up" due to manipulation then it's in the best interest for everyone that cares about this hobby and its future to reveal and share that information. The more people that get burned by manufactured heat, the more people that will walk away from this hobby. Anyone who truly doesn't care if a book is selling at a premium because of manufactured heat is doing nothing for but taking the money and running. They definitely don't care about the future of the hobby, they are the ones that will walk away from the wreckage of a crash and never look back as they run off to the next money maker. This statement in itself is redundant. I think most understand the power these boards hold in regards to market trends. If you post something "heating up", more people see it on here. More potential buyers, driving up price and / or demand.

  14. Ratchet & Clank Sets have been pulling $60 for about a year. I think the movie is in theaters now, correct? Want some fun? Search this message board a bit. I started a weekly modern spec thread years ago. My initial pick was Ratchett & Clank. Man. Did I get crucified here & on Bleeding Cool for it. Hilarious. Once again my instincts are dead balls on.
  15. Technically, since these aren't even for sale yet....how are they heating up ? Where's the baseline ? A set costs / will cost $45.
  16. Pulled this from this thread. Batman Adventures 12 Megacon Variants
  17. Ratchet & Clank Sets have been pulling $60 for about a year. I think the movie is in theaters now, correct? the sets have been doing pretty decently for a long time. sort of like uncharted. Yes, there weren't nearly as many available a year ago though. More like Earthworm Jim and Sly Cooper.
  18. That's actually brilliant I think it's silly that you have to buy these specific variants (I'm assuming) for CGC to slab it with your name. Why can't I just pick up any B&W cover and start coloring??? Usually the B&W cost more. But hey, it's a free country.
