  1. I take a slightly different approach. In my eBay listings I always provide a link to every grading contest I’ve participated in on the boards, links to the image of each book, links to the spreadsheets listing the bullseyes, over / under on each book and my overall placement. I even list what prize I win from being such a good grader. I will also 100% guarantee every book I sell will get a CVA sticker. I’ve also experienced no issues to date.
  2. Probably a good thing in retrospect by the looks of that 9.9
  3. I'm I the only one who's seen lower graded copies that look as good if not better than this one? I see a color break in the spine, corner tick on the lower bottom FC, and top right FC corner slightly blunted. This is in a 2 second examination and not looking closely or magnified.
  4. I do appreciate @GEEzusWalks coming on to respond. Looking at some of his statements I have some observations: Pictures were taken 2-3 weeks ago lines up very close to when the sale on the boards occured so we're dealing with a small window. Seller stated he isn't sure if book was involved in a prior sale. Since we are not talking a long period of time between when the pictures were taken and the matter at hand and unless seller is a very high volume and sells through many channels it would seem to me someone would/should know what they sold and be able to have a record of the payment or invoice somewhere. Initially seller stated that pics were removed to make room on his computer, now he's referred to a post I made regarding an issue I had moving a book to my registry (unrelated topic) as the rationale for removing. To me this seems off. The only thing I can think of it he sold alot during that window of time is that he quite possibly could have shipped the wrong book to someone, however would still have the book he should have sent and can easily contact the person that received the comic erroneously.
  5. Do you recall the last time you physically saw the comic and/or when those sales photos were taken?
  6. Respectfully disagree. The buyer has not been made whole, he was refunded, and that's not what he wanted. In the sellers mind I can certainly see how HE would think the buyer has been made whole. I can speak for myself, If I was in the sellers shoes I would 100% do what Hudson recommended, I could care less about the money\flipping aspect. We'll wait and see if the seller ever answers any of those pertinent follow-up questions that have been posed to him.
  7. @Hudson Kudos for bringing up that fantastic idea.
  8. These are really amazing... If you ever decide to go into business making these I'd totally buy 1 (or 3) from you!
  9. I don't want to get all 1984 on everybody, however it's times like these I'd love to be able to have a mod go in and review PMs. If there was another boardie that approached him once the book was sold offering more $$$ I'd put them right up there on the PL if not the HOS as well.
  10. Man, I can’t tell you how hard it is to keep my collecting focus when I see this gem.. Somebody PLEASE take the temptation away.
  11. You’re at fault for nothing. It should not have taken your PM to him to offer up that info. Instead when he was asked to produce those photos and answer additional questions that request was ignored, repeatedly. I can’t believe he has not been following all this closely since it unfolded. I think those other questions we’ve asked previously and those you posed in your next post are relevant and some answers to those might shed more light on the situation. Im not in for a lynching but this whole thing stinks to high heaven. Ultimately I think the masses will take their cues on how the buyer would want to proceed in any possibly way he can be removed. Love how you always try to see the best in everyone though. I hope he is truthful and doesn’t disappoint as you’re going out on a limb for him.
  12. I'm sure there are more than a few in the HOS and/or PL that previously had positive feedback and good character witnesses before landing themselves there. IMO you're only as good/trustworthy as how you handled your last deal.
