  1. That's a top cover from Romita's ASM run. However, I can show you other Romita ASM covers that have sold for less than his non ASM covers.
  2. Not true. Romita could draw any cover with any popular Marvel characters and it will sell for as much as as ASM stuff. https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/john-romita-sr-defenders-10-cover-thor-vs-hulk-original-art-and-cover-proof-marvel-1973-/a/7137-92258.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515 And Avengers covers and Thor covers. Any splashes or covers Romita did for FF would go for huge money too. So to say Romita is ASM only is jokes. He just happen to spend a lot of time there. There was a reason they would bring in Romita just to do faces. His style of drawing was one of the best looking in the comic art business.
  3. Nooo that was actually the original BP concept drawing that they showed. That would be amazing to own!

  13. I wonder why even make a post asking ppl what it's worth when you are just going to price it at whatever you wanted. Was there fear that 50k might have been to low? ?
  14. I inquired about a piece this weekend to coollines that was posted also on comic link. I wanted to make a deal happen but instead I got no response and they jacked up the price on comic link by 20%? Why would you raise the price when I am inquiring to buy it? Strange folks....

  16. Thanks Bill .. I was able to find that! A page from Thor 175 from what it looks like.
  17. Really?? I was looking but didn't see any. Where did you see? RickyB
  18. I have to agree. Everett struggled with alcoholism so a lot of the time he was hastily going through the inking to meet deadlines. Especially when drawing over Kirbys layouts on TTA - the art just didn't stand out. But for whatever reason on their short stint on Thor 168-175 they created some brilliant looking art. Not sure if they worked more closely together during this time but whatever they were doing - it was honestly brilliant. Almost every page of Thor 171 is a masterpiece.
  19. Do you mean the image of art directly on the boards vs a link to caf? If that is what you are asking I personally like driving people to my CAF gallery. They can always check out the few other pieces I have if interested!
  20. Thank you for all the kind comments! Makes me feel a little better about the pieces I had to let go
  21. Hello all! This year has been a bummer as I have been selling a lot of art this year (not by choice) and was sad to see some pieces go. So being able to add this Jack Kirby - Bill Everett Thor piece is a great joy. Enjoy and happy holidays! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1442647 RickyB
