  1. Really?? I was looking but didn't see any. Where did you see? RickyB
  2. I have to agree. Everett struggled with alcoholism so a lot of the time he was hastily going through the inking to meet deadlines. Especially when drawing over Kirbys layouts on TTA - the art just didn't stand out. But for whatever reason on their short stint on Thor 168-175 they created some brilliant looking art. Not sure if they worked more closely together during this time but whatever they were doing - it was honestly brilliant. Almost every page of Thor 171 is a masterpiece.
  3. Do you mean the image of art directly on the boards vs a link to caf? If that is what you are asking I personally like driving people to my CAF gallery. They can always check out the few other pieces I have if interested!
  4. Thank you for all the kind comments! Makes me feel a little better about the pieces I had to let go
  5. Hello all! This year has been a bummer as I have been selling a lot of art this year (not by choice) and was sad to see some pieces go. So being able to add this Jack Kirby - Bill Everett Thor piece is a great joy. Enjoy and happy holidays! http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1442647 RickyB
  6. Mick is a great guy from what I know. I talked him a while back about pretty much the last piece Kirby drew in 94 which he Inked. There is obviously a lot of controversy whether or not Kirby was drawing back then but he spoke to Kirby about his inking on this page and he said it reminded him of Royers inks. Great story and nice splash page .. any one know more about Kirbys work on Phantom Force? http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=55320 RickyB
  7. Not sure about cost on removal but production stains on comic art from the 70s is common. Not sure if it would be worth the effort to get it removed. Good luck if you take part! Thanks!

  9. Hey all, I have one piece ending on Friday at Heritage Auctions. This is a twice up Tales of Suspense #77 page 8 with breakdowns by Kirby and finished pencils by Romita. This was done only a few months before went he on to draw ASM 39! This small story featured the 1st appearance of Peggy Carter. Even though not on the page, Cap is out battling the Nazis while looking for her. Just a great classic Kirby Cap vs Nazi battle page rendered in massive twice up size! Thanks for looking! https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/jack-kirby-john-romita-sr-and-frank-giacoia-as-frank-ray-tales-of-suspense-77-story-page-8-captain-america-or/a/7169-93130.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515 RickyB
  10. Hey Mitch , You sold a painted Ronin cover by Varely a month ago or so.. didn't you? RickyB
  11. Faded inks. That's unacceptable to me and doesn't matter how old the page. As for the toned pages I don't mind if they are from the 60s.. those pages are nearly 60 years old so it's not that big of a deal.
  12. Wonder what my Jim Lee Wolverine cards would be worth.. weren't used as covers but still highly remembered
  13. Hello all, I have 2 no reserve items ending on comiclink next week. Pretty nice pieces so take a look: 1) TMNT #3 pg 2 - Early page where April gives her number to the Turtles for the first time! http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3DEastman%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCA%23Item_1189292&id=1189292&itemType=1 2) Tomb of Dracula 40 cover by Gene Colan - A cover from the most popular horror run of the 70s - featuring the whole team! - TOD covers don't come up for sale often so this could be your chance to acquire one! http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAUCTIONS%2FSEARCH.ASP%3FFocusedOnly%3D1%26where%3Dauctions%26title%3DColan%26GO%3DGO%26ItemType%3DCA%23Item_1199469&id=1199469&itemType=1 Thanks for looking! RickyB
  14. This page is nice and very early twice up by Colan. http://ebay.to/2w4epTe
  15. Well GCD states that it's Kirby pencils and Sinnott inks. https://www.comics.org/issue/31045/ If I was the owner I wouldn't be happy it being listed this way.
  16. It's kinda weird. Like you said looking at Reeds face its definitely not Kirby. But if you look at some of the other faces and hands they look like Kirby for sure.
  17. Hi there, Putting this out there. Anyone willing to part with their Kirby Galactus art? I am looking for a piece. Thanks you RickyB
  18. That seems to be a reasonable price. But the good pieces never end at reasonable prices
  19. This piece is exciting .. any ideas what the hammer price maybe? Doubt it would be in my price range https://comics.ha.com/itm/original-comic-art/jack-kirby-and-joe-sinnott-marvel-s-greatest-comics-70-cover-fantastic-four-original-art-m/p/7169-15001.s?ic4=GalleryView-ShortDescription-071515
