  1. I just looked at the IG site, but could not figure out how to view the sale.
  2. You also have #166, so maybe #107-165 is a good idea...
  3. These are from Hi De Ho in 1994 (and a No-Prize to anyone who knows the reference for the store's name).
  4. I never went to Fantasy Castle. In the 80s I frequented Passport Comics in the valley, and loved listening to Earl hype whatever he had a lot of... One time he had about 20 copies of Superman #123 on the wall, all priced at $10 each. I should have bought a dozen of them. In the early 90s he put Dave Stevens books on the wall with high prices. I had never seen a Stevens cover, and I really liked the art, so I started grabbing high grade copies in the quarter boxes at other comic shops... As for expensive books just sitting...Cherokee had a copy of Batman #11 in the storefront window priced at $25 in 1966. It was still there in 1968, but had tanned really well by then.
  5. Your ripples will definitely be noticed... I've been fascinated and educated by your investigations and knowledge.
  6. This is sad news. I won't repeat everything Robot Man and everyone else has said, but I enjoyed my chats with Richard very much. He sent me a lot of material pertaining to the early days of collecting in Los Angeles and the history of Collector's Books. R.I.P. Richard
  7. Dude, you must have been a bad boy. I was never denied the Inner Sanctum...Maybe because my grandmother was always with me, and Burt liked my grandmother. She didn't take any garbage from him.
  8. OK, I'm going to finish off my Bronze raw run of ASM with issue 261 (1985 end date, right or wrong, I don't care...I just don't like the cover of 262...)
  9. Hey, the meeting's still on with Igor at midnight, right? I bought my AF 15 from those guys, but it wasn't one of the pedigree books. That store was weird. I wasn't a hippy, I just wanted to see all the comics...
  10. Thanks. I just need to know when to stop boring everyone with my news stand raw comics...I know how much you guys like to see 9.6 and 9.8s in plastic tombs...
  11. At this point I need to ask, When does Bronze end? I've read 1982 and 1985. Which is it? I know I won't get a unanimous answer, but I'd still like to hear what you guys think...
