I have the perfect solution to the Baker mess...avoid E-bay, unless the seller does not know what they have and puts a BIN of $40 or less on the book. Shop only at comic shows, or search the back issue boxes at every comic shop in the U.S. until you find cheap Bakers. Also, and this is a last resort, buy issues from Squeggs when he sells them in the selling forum. He has decent prices, and knows how to undergrade as well as Dolgoff.

I think a lot of them are just tossing out high prices on low-grade Baker to see what will happen. Maybe they hope someone will offer $200 less for a $699 book, and then they'll take the offer. I'm a collector first, and an investor second, so I just ignore books that I think are too expensive.

I can't take it anymore....arrrgggghhhhh....why do they still try to sell these low-grade books at those prices when nobody is buying them?

I just looked at an old Payette catalog from 1995 today, and he had a Cinderella Love 26 in VF+ for $20...(sigh)...missed that one...

OK, got my book today. VG+? I don't think so...maybe F+...and this is why I love buying mid-grades from Payette... (thumbs u BTW, the little black dot on her cheek is on my scanner, not on the book.
