In case you didn't see my edit...
I think MM said he was only keeping a list of the "camp" books...
wow, I feel like a real Okajima person now...I wonder what that's worth?
-
The list I posted is yours, but I've updated it a little. Just copy mine and add more books if you haven't already noted the ones I added.

Moving on from romance books (yuk)...
-
-
I would say it is, since his signature is on the cover. Of course, it might have been Kirby playing a joke...
-
You should crack that book out Sqeggs, so the butterflies can fly away...

tricolor - stunning LB books you have! (thumbs u
Thanks. It was an intense focus for a number of years in the 90s.
This was my first LB Cole book I ever bought:
-
I was going to congratulate on you on finding a nice copy of that Love book, but then I saw the My comic shop logo...
That's a tough book to find...I tried for 20 years and finally gave up...
Maybe I just didn't look hard enough...
-
I pulled both my Okajima books. The rulah has a date stamp on the upper margin of the back cover. It says "November 20 1948". I bought it from Ron Murray in Aug 1998. He graded it Fine.
I have a habit of putting a piece of magic tape on the back of all my mylars and comic bags and I write the date of purchase, place of purchase, grade and cost of the book on the tape. The All-New 11 says "8/98, Heroes (fresno), Okajima, G, and the price $30. I think since I got both books the same month and both from Fresno area people who both said they were Okajimas, that it's probably a sure bet that the All New is an Okajima, albeit one of the worst examples...
-
And while you were doing your job, I added two more books to the list...
-
Well, you're on the list anyway...now go look thru pgs. 14-25 and find some books that aren't on the list. Geez...do something useful around here...
-
OK, I found the last updated list in the thread and updated it a little more. Feel free to add to it from the scans that have been posted in the thread. I didn't check them all.

I thought someone was maintaining an updated list in this thread...if not, I have no idea who to pass the info on to...
-
I'll dig it out today and look at the back cover. Also the All-New...that's the 3rd time I've posted that book in this thread...
Update the list already...
-
I posted it a couple pages back when I resurrected this thread, but everyone seemed to miss it...here it is again:
-
Hmmm....I have that too:
-
I'll check, but my Rulah 22 isn't on your list either...and it's definitely an Okajima...and I bought it from Ron Murray, who I don't think made a list. He bought a lot of the books and sold them at shows. He might have even bought the low grade All-New 11.
-
No, not making it up. I bought it from Dave at Heroes Comics in Fresno and he said it was from "that Okajima group". I didn't know what he was talking about (I was kinda out of the loop), so I asked him what the group was. He explained the find briefly, but didn't mention the camp or anything, just that the books were owned by a Japanese lady. I can think of many books in better condition that i could pass off as Okajimas if I wanted to be a scumbag...
-
As the owner of only 2 Okajima books I'm not really an Okajima groupie...and one of the books is questionable...so I want to show a scan of it and see if anyone can tell me how I can prove this is a real Okajima. It was sold to me as an Okajima (abeit very cheap) from a comic shop in Fresno. It has no markings, however it is strange that the shop (not known for it's GA books) would have a book from this era at the same time as the Okajima purchases...any thoughts? I guess i should go look at the back cover too...
-
Looks like I killed another good thread...YAY! Oh dang.I just bumped it...
-
The pic of this book got removed for some reason, so I'm not sure if it made the list or not. Here it is again. Bought from Ron Murray...Rulah 22
-
Tank yew veddy much...

Oh, is this spam?
What are the rarest romance comics?

Not sure if these are scarce or not, but I liked the covers, condition and low prices, so I grabbed them off the Bay recently. I couldn't find any major dealers that had them in stock. Are they scarce?
