  1. nice bondage cover on that Adventures 439; I always wondered though about how that cleavage is drawn? with the line placement the way it is, she'd be size "H"s if that actually exists tongue.gif

As for my Bats 227, consider it yours if you need one smile.gif We can work out a deal via PM. flowerred.gif

  2. Thanks again to comicwiz for the Silver Surfer 1 and Pete the Lil pest 1 I picked up using that innovative "Make an offer" flipbook! (if I only had the technological know-how )

Joseph has always been really good to me on deals and providing me with books I needed, as far back from the Star Wars 1 35 cent variant years ago smile.gif

Kudos to Nikos who sent me 2 whitmans off his ebay sales and I didn't even pay for one - I guess I overlooked it because I won it later that day and I had already paid nikos for the first one. I feel bad for cosing him exra paypal fees. He's been super patient with everyone in running the grading contests and he has made me some really nice deals on ASM and USM books. A good guy all around...I'm still waiting for a big slab of real baklava in the mail! tongue.gif

I've been hitting pretty much any forumites ebay offerings with a buy or a bump so keep listing them up here and I promise to check them out. I was looking at johnenock's and Brett's runs. There's always something good out there...except maybe when greggy lists... 893scratchchin-thumb.gif27_laughing.gif

  3. Postponed Kudos to Solar for the Bone comics he bought.

Books got lost in a mail mix-up for over a month...but they finally got there this weekend. Brett showed much patience throughout the wait. A top-notch guy. Thanks.

Same with a package I mailed to Darth -- he was nothing but understanding and supportive as I explained how it was possible that I had mailed the package and it got "misdelivered" (my bad! foreheadslap.gif) back to me. Then he had to wait again while it was shipped off to him a second time! headbang.gif

Thanks for the heads up preview PM on your sale. If I wasn't busy feeding the kids and then putting them to bed, I would have been able to browse a little better. I was hoping you were putting up some DC whitman dupes for sale? I'll have to pick any issues up off ebay like the rest smile.gif Good luck on those CBMs! Those were nice IMO...

  4. picked up 2 batman 227's (vf, maybe a lowervf+, and other one is about fn/Vf) in Balto and a Cave carson Brave and the Bold... will post scans later tonight...

bought about 20 Millie's, a Chili, 3 Combat Kellys, an Action Comics whitman variant, Defenders 1 (latest reboot), and JLA 117 and 118 (current series) smile.gif

  5. Huge kudos to forumites over the last couple of month whom I've had the privilege to deal with. Some are go-to guys whose auctions and threads here I check out every time and some are newer forumites that I'm glad I took a chance on and they came through with a sweet deal for me:

Foolkiller for brokering a win-win deal with his friend MaryAnn

Oldguy for flipping me some nice variants from his LCS

Nikos for selling me some of his high grade moderns for bargain prices

Shrunkenhead for providing me with hours of Twilight Zone DVD goodness

Thecollector for a great deal off an otherwise waste of time, total dead end bomb of a thread (anbukid's folly of a wtb ASM 300 thread)

rocketeer for posting some sweet books I wouldn't otherwise have considered

    Kudos to my variant dealers:

mattiejc, zilla4, subusu - Bruce - local ebay seller that finds these sweet copies all the time

rob_react, flying_donut, scottish, joe_collector, silverandbronze, stromm, capitolcollectibles, metarog, shield_agent, 4gemworks, jeffreykli, cosmic-spiderman and daffy06 who have all contributed a part of that sweet registry set I've posted...these guys have been instrumental in tracing down and trading for ever higher grade copies of these rarities

I wouldn't hesitate dealing with any of the above. My apologies if I've left anyone out...

  6. Mine is never coming up for sale on Ebay! yay.gif Scott, who got these...I forget.....Ian, Vincent.....

My recollection is that the following people got them:

    You

    Me

    Harry

    Vincent

    Ian

    Bonds25

I had ten made. Four more are unaccounted for (or maybe only two or three -- did I keep a second shirt? Did you get two shirts?) because I forgot who asked for them.

I thought I might also have given one to Jim or someone else locally. I have a vague recollection of that, but it's all hazy after this past Saturday night.

I have one hi.gif I wore it proudly on Sunday of last year's Baltimore Con wink.gif I usually wear it to the neighborhood pool now, so it's all chlorined out frown.gif but the pic is still intact! acclaim.gif

  7. It's taken me over thirty years and I have no intention of selling it.

Having said that, if someone offered me ten million, I'd sell it...

You are a master of contradictory statements foreheadslap.gif Now do you want that 10 million in Vietnamese dongs or old Italian lira?

  8. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

I'll bet DTA's stomach just sank

I am SO glad I didn't give in to temptation, and held my ground.

I wouldn't be so quick to burn that bridge, pallie. After all, you are going to need DTA's copy when you decide to upgrade your collection or go for your inevitable second/dupe set...

  9. It's not even for the July 2005 issue of Ladies Home Journal featuring Madonna on the cover that my wife was very, VERY, grateful for...

Yes, I know...MY name is on the subscription crazy.gif I'm glad she enjoyed it! thumbsup2.gif Very different photo spread of Madonna from the one in Penthouse years back 893scratchchin-thumb.gif She needs something to read too while you do WHATEVER it is you do with all those inserts? tongue.gif

No, the topper was what was lining the bottom of the box...the new Metropolis catalog! Don't know where my personal copy found it way to...probably being used to make paper footballs somewhere in the Frankfurt military mail annex...but this unexpected surprise has made my day!

I was glad to send it your way, brother! hail.gif

Thanks again for working with me. I appreciate the patience with the stamps.com snafu on military addresses and the help on the inside scoop with that.

  10. A big thank you goes out to SHRUNKENHEAD for a recent ebay sale shipped to me. Those Twilight Zone episodes bring back fond memories of staying up during grammar school back in NYC, just to watch them back to back with Honeymooners and Outer Limits episodes on channel 11 cloud9.gif

I really like the extras and commentaries - it's like seeing the same stuff I've watched for years but getting a NEW take on things

  11. Would anybody read/post comments on a blog about 30 and 35 cent variants? I figured I would put info like past ebay selling prices, scans, etc. on it too. I've got a lot of time on my hands (I took the block off from med school), so let me know.

Just checked out your blog and saw this result foreheadslap.gif

    Hmmm...
