  1. Just a quick status update: ComicCONnect has still failed to get back to me and have an "answer for me by Tuesday" as they stated in their e-mail. What a CLOWNSHOW ComicCONnect is! I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE UPSTANDING CITIZENS TO REFRAIN FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM UNTIL THEY GET THEIR "SPOON" TOGETHER!
  2. You are speaking in hindsight. I agree that we all should have secured these books with Disney's acquisition of Fox IP. But you also have to consider a lot of people could not have afforded them even at those low prices 4 years ago. I myself was deep in credit debt 4 years ago. Maxed to the limit by spending on comics... But now that I have money, I figured it's never to late to get in on the ride, since we all know these books will keep going up...
  3. This^^ Instead, here is a direct copy and paste of what their customer service rep e-mailed to me: "We are very sorry about the delay for your invoice #155111. We have been in contact with the consignor of the Fantastic Four #45 and they let me know that they have been checking their locations for the book and will check one last spot over this weekend, we will have an answer for you by Tuesday on the status of the book. We do have your order #156602 ready to go but are still waiting to hear back from the consignor for the X-Men #95 on #156683. Do you want us to send the invoice we have ready or wait and combo them? Thank you, Skyla Mangine" What kind of CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS that? - They should have offered to ship the books that they already have in hand from that order, and send out the X-Men #95 book if they ever get in contact with the seller - free of shipping charges. Instead, it seems as if they want to charge me separate shipping fees for the X-Men book if they ever even receive it? NO! Good Customer service would have offered to ship the books they have on hand, and then offer the X-Men book with free shipping - if they even ever get in contact with another unreliable seller...!
  4. I completely agree with You. Every X-Men key issue has literally doubled in price since the middle of April!
  5. I'm going to take a "stand" and CHOOSE TO NOT PARTICIPATE in ComicCONnect's upcoming auction. There are a lot of books that I want, but I REFUSE TO SUPPORT a business built on crappy customer service. I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE ELSE TO TAKE A STAND WITH ME AND SHOW BIG COMPANIES LIKE THIS - THAT THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Let's hit em where it hurts. Nothing will ever change for the greater good unless we as the general population agrees to take a stand against these type of "TYRANTS".
  6. Micah, nobody from ComicCONnect has even tried to reach out to me and make this situation right! I have had to do all the sleuthing for your company's gross negligence! ComicCONnnect has not even tried to offer me anything as compensation for your "$4500 INTEREST FREE LOAN" that I have provided ComiCONnect with for 2 months now. On top of that, when ComicCONnect refunded me the money for another book (Strange Tales #135 CGC 9.2) - same exact situation, one of your incompetent customer service people "forgot" to refund me for the tax on the book. So I had to message them about their "accounting error" and tell them ComiCONnect still owed me tax for the book they could not send. Most companies with GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE would have done anything and everything to make the customer feel happy. ComicCONnect has done the EXACT OPPOSITE.
  7. I think the pandemic caused an influx of new collectors, or people with deep wallets willing to spend more. Another factor is no comic conventions for the past year. You also have to factor in people using their tax returns to spend more on comics. Buying comics is quite addicting! I don't think this is a peak and crash situation. A comic market crash would only happen if the economy suffers a major blow like the housing crash in 2008. Or if all the movie studios decided to suddenly stop making comic based movies. - Even then, most rich people will still stay rich, and those people will still compete with each other for big keys...
  8. Like I stated in my 1st post. I waited 6 weeks to message them about the status of the book. It's not like I was expecting lightning fast customer service... I don't expect them to be like Amazon, but after over 2 months with no replies from customer service, - They finally realize they haven't even made contact with the seller? That is just unacceptable by anyone's standards...
  9. ComicCONnect DOES NOT wait for the seller to confirm or accept the buy order placed. That's why this issue has happened to me 3x in the past 6 months! They need to adopt the same type of seller confirmation system like ComicLink has. Then there would be way less occurrences like this happening!
  10. I also forgot to mention that this exact same situation happened with ComicCONnect and 2 other books that I previously bought and paid for: It happened with a Strange Tales #135 CGC 9.2 I paid $1000 for. EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED (Seller could not locate book.) I also paid for an X-Men CBCS 9.4 $425 2nd week of May, and ComicCONnect is now saying they haven't heard back from this seller either. So it's not like this is an isolated incident. ComicCONnect has proven time and time again that they need to get their "SPOON" together! What a bunch of CLOWNS.
  11. So, from by what you are saying is, that if I "say" I have a book I want to sell on your marketplace, then You don't require the books to be sent in? OK. I have an X-Men #1 in CGC 8.5 grade. I'll consign on your site for a very attractive price of $25k. After a buyer purchases the book that "I say I have in hand", you will tell the buyer that they are legally obligated to make payment in a timely matter. So then that buyer sends a check for $25k. ComicCONnect then processes the check, and takes $25k away from the buyer's funds then "notifies" the seller to ship the book? ComicCONnect has had $4500 of MY MONEY for almost 2 months now and didn't even bother to communicate with the seller in 2 MONTHS? WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS/CLOWNSHOW ARE YOU GUYS RUNNING OVER THERE?
  12. Main main gripe/complaint about this entire situation has been the terrible customer service that I have received from ComicConnect. Why did it even have to get this far? How and why did ComicConnect fail to keep constant communications with the seller after an item has been paid for? ComicConnect didn't even know there was a problem until I sent them an e-mail inquiry myself. To make matters worse, they take days/weeks to respond if they even get back to you in the 1st place. Why do I have to do so much work for something that I paid over $4500 total for over 2 months ago? Shadroch is right. " Letting people sell on your site without requiring the books be on hand is dumb." In this case, ComicConnect failed to maintain communication with the seller and buyer. In my opinion, - it seems as if the seller realized the book had significantly increased in value, and his excuse is that he can't locate the book now. I'm sure this has happen with a lot of you on other sites as well. It's super annoying and a huge waste of time for the buyer and the consignors. Sellers need to be held legally responsible to sell said books. Why are we as buyers held legally responsible to pay for books, yet the sellers don't suffer any legal ramifications?
  13. Hello All, I'm posting this to see if anyone else has experienced horrible customer service/ lack of communication when buying on ComicConnect. I bought a Fantastic Four #45 CGC 9.2 for $4200 on April 1st. I sent the a check a few days later as the funds were withdrawn from my account shortly after. I waited until May 12th (Over a month later) - seeing as I know auction houses are really backed up due to pandemic circumstances. They replied back to me in an e-mail stating, " I've messaged the shipping department. If you do not hear from us, the order will be bumped ahead and we should be shipping today. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delay. Best, ComicConnect Support Team". Fast forward to May 19th. No replies back from ComicConnect yet. So I sent them another e-mail asking what the "spoon" is going on with this order? Fast forward to May 28th. I finally receive an email back from them, stating, "We are very sorry about the delay for your invoice #155111. We have been in contact with the consignor of the Fantastic Four #45 and they let me know that they have been checking their locations for the book and will check one last spot over this weekend, we will have an answer for you by Tuesday on the status of the book." Sorry for the long post, but I figured people who read this would want to see where I'm coming from/my mindset/frustration with this HORRIBLE COMPANY.
  14. Hey All! - I've been a member here since 2014. I've purchased a few books in the past from a couple people on here. I have a lot of CGC Marvel Silver and Bronze Age Keys - Most in high grade. I'm currently in the process of taking inventory/scanning them all. Please add feedback, and Thanks for Your business!
  15. Bought a Green Lantern #87 from Alain. Thanks for the easy and pleasant transaction!
  16. Wow! Your SS#3 looks more like a 9.6 than a 9.4 from what I can see. Regardless, It's one of the nicest 9.4's I've ever seen. GLWTS!
