  1. It was mine, I listed it here for 2 days with no offers and then Ebay but I sold it on the side, graded pic at bottom of p3 on the Cerebus #1 club page. Here's the sigs:
  2. Price lowered. I'll probably close this thread tomorrow and either move it to feebay or just put it back in the box.
  3. Cerebus the Aardvark #1 CGC 8.0 CROW, Signed by Dave and Demi Sim. I don't really want to sell but need to raise some money: $9,000. First I'll take in thread or pm wins over any ongoing negotiations. No returns on CGC graded books. No probies or hos members. PayPal G&S only, payment due within 3 days unless other arrangements are agreed to beforehand. The book will be securely packaged, and sent by USPS signature required Priority Mail. Postage included in the price, International Shipping not available, US only.
  4. I've had this for a while and recently decided to crack it open, press it, and see if I could get an 8.5 out of it. Well, $100 later it's the same 8.0 grade. CGC did note that Deni also signed on the label too.
  5. I have fond memories of Sara Underwood doing "the feed".
  6. Bumping this old thread since I'm about to send in a value submission and thinking about getting this cover slabbed as well. Any idea how CGC would label this since it's not a known variant? Maybe I should call them before sending it?
  7. I did, and after taking my books to the car and looking at all the tools out back, I went back in just to see what was left. He was picking through all the Superman books and putting most of them back.
  8. Yeah, I got nice high grade Master of Kung Fu, Kamandi, Swamp Thing issues, and some Star (Marvel) Comics.
  9. Sounds like Evansville last Sat. If it was, I was there and got 220 books. You're right, it was a pretty friendly chaos.
  10. The two New Mutants books are more common.
  11. That one actually looks legit to me, it has the red web stamp on the back cover, McFarlane signed so many of these back in 1990 that some are sloppy but they all are signed in that area on Spidey's knee.
  12. I've read this a few times and can't figure out how this theft works, I'm sure it's right here in black and white but I still don't get it. If a comic is pulled up from your box and pushed back into your box (but behind a flap) isn't it still in your box and therefore still in your possession? You might not be able to see it but it didn't walk away with the crook, right? Or tell me what I'm missing here.
  13. I'll probably just leave it raw and as is. Someone wants to buy it and I may have a chance to upgrade so I was just trying to come up with a fair assessment.
  14. Thanks, I think so too. Especially after your back and forth with @James J Johnson, you guys had me starting to worry.
  15. Here's a closeup with some light reflection to highlight. In the Black box there is a color break beside the exclamation point and a little bit of a dark smudge out at the edge. Below the smudge, there is a bend that goes down into the light blue where there is a scuff which removes some color.
  16. Amazing Spider-Man #129 lays flat, nice gloss, healthy spine with both staples attached to cover and centerfold. Several minor issues like staple stress, slightly blunted corners, and reader's edge front cover about 1/3 way down.
  17. Yeah, the top edge of the front cover was stained and brittle and some pieces came off during cleaning and pressing.
