  1. Is Black Panther 2 the end of phase 4? I really want this to be over...
  2. CGC won't grade the paperback, won't grade the treasury. So the Super Special 16 becomes the next best thing. I think Boba being on the cover of 42 pushes it as the big money book, even though it came out months after SS16. I like SS16 and still think it's undervalued. However the spec crowd enjoys milking several books (41 - first Yoda, 42 - first Boba, 43 - first Lando etc...) because more money can be had.
  3. Just adding a post to up the page count. I will say that Liefeld is more original than Clayton Crank when it comes to art. For what that's worth.
  4. Find an overprinted book from the 90's with a cover done by a non prominent artist. Cut out 100 sheets of Reynolds Wrap sized to the comic, staple to the cover. Have artist sign it. Instant variant, and would be 100% blue label according to CGC's new standards. Also no mention yet if it has to be a cover by only the cover artist or another artist that may have work on the inside of the book. Inkers, letterers, and writers should also qualify as artists as well I would think.
  5. Nah, CGC has basically gave them the green light now. I wouldn't be surprised if they are out there popping bottles of champagne as they shake hands with the influencers.
  6. Forget acetate, I'm going to be adding some Reynolds Wrap onto a cover and get the Silver Foil designation.
  7. The original book was the Ultimate Fallout 4 facsimile copy which Black Flag had Clayton Crain do an ugly variant of. Not sure the census on that particular version.
  8. Because of the recent UF4 acetate scandal I have viewed a few of these youtube videos where the guys are talking about comic books as if they are working on Wall St. Charts and analysis thrown down your throat, gross misrepresentations of our hobby that when I was more involved had to do with story and art first and foremost. If the story was good and the art was cool there was a decent chance that the book would go up in value because of that over time. This instant gratification generation really know how to suck the life out of whatever they are involved in/collecting. Could be I'm too old for all this social media nonsense, which may very well be, or it could be that they really have no love for anything other than monetary value, which is what I suspect.
  9. I'm curious to know how many of these con exclusives from outlets other than Black Flag are receiving 9.9 and 10's prior to release? Is this a normal thing now?
  10. Can't wait to see the "spec, flipper, influencer" line at the Boston con coming up. Talk about a walk of shame
  11. Imagine putting down 10,000 bucks for a stack of these ugly books without knowing the fix was in... I can't.
  12. That video of the Black Flag owner where he sweats the cost of those UF4 bootlegs is likely because the price to obtain the 10.0 and 9.9s was worrisome to him. Is Black Flag still in possession of those 10.0 and 9.9's.
  13. So adding an unauthorized cover to a book with extra staples is now considered part of the "manufacturing" of said book. Good to know...
  14. So it's now open season to staple homemade covers on facsimile books and get blue labels?
  15. Wow. This guy in this video is a special kind of duechebag. Is this what collecting comics has come to? Yikes
  16. So even if this is released, he won't be playing the Flash in any future movies I would guess. The DCU is such a mess. They might as well film a Crisis movie because that's where they are literally at right now.
  17. I guess they didn't run into this problem with the fantastic four? The good news is it gives people more time to forget the mostly horrible Fox movies, so that when they reuse plot lines it will feel fresher.
  18. I don't think even Fiege knows where they are going to an extent, even with the title drops. If the MCU is floundering by the time those Avenger movies are due to hit, I could see them using time travel/multiverse storylines as a way to bring back RDJ as Iron Man. It's wide open if you ask me...
  19. My daughter is attending tomorrow with a friend. She was bummed out that I wasn't able to go with her because she knows I love comics, but really, it's a relief that I'm not going. Crowds are obnoxious, comics have been phased out for the most part, and I'm not one for sitting in lines. The years that I attended in the 90's are what I will cherish the most. Probably won't ever attend one again. Now i feel old...
