  13. I am not looking for sympathy. I walked right into the problem, so I am just letting everyone know he is still doing this stuff after apologizing a million times. I got a refund from him (which is pending), but I highly advise you not to deal with him.
  14. I tried to be nice with Symbiotic since I have dealt with him before on here. I purchased three comic books from him in his thread. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Main=346999&Number=7846901#Post7846901 Southern Bastards #1 (Third Eye Variant) 9.8 SS by Jason Aaron Lazarus #1 Forbidden Planet Variant 9.8 $30 Larazus #1 First Print 9.8 $20 I found that he had these listed on eBay today. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281383353833?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/281383351496?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 I asked him about this and this is the series of replies I got. "sorry my mistake, they are taken down immediately." "i do however need your address. and if you could list exactly which books you purchased. " "if you could possibly paypal me $1 additional but not as a gift, it would make it a lot easier as I could print out a label rather than having to go to the post office. " "feel free to call me ____________ so we can clear it up. i appreciate you paying via gift but it makes it hard for me to print out any sort of USPS shipping forms. " "actually it says on paypal that you have no address on file. could you just send me a message with your address as well as the exact books you purchased." My response is that you have to be kidding me and I am not a fool. I didn't pay gifted to him and my address is definitely on file with paypal. I will remove this if I get my books, which I doubt I will. I tried to give someone the benefit of the doubt and wasted my time. What a joke.
  15. The last order I got back from the CGC had 3 cracked slabs, so I know exactly how you feel.
  16. The last issue was intense, so I am excited about tomorrow's issue (thumbs u
  17. People on eBay are sure reaching for the stars with some of their prices
  18. Walking Dead #127 is going for a ridiculous amount http://www.ebay.com/itm/261496023631?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649
  19. Almost 100% of the stuff I sell on eBay is Buy it Now with the Best Offer option. And even though they can submit an offer, a number of people go ahead and hit the BIN. I had setup all of my listings to automatically accept a certain offer amount and to send me an e-mail if an offer was below the automatic figure but still above a minimum. I did this just to avoid having to deal with the lowballers. But eBay sales got so bad about a month ago I decided to remove the min/max requirement on any new listings and just go with the straight Best Offer option. The bad part of that of course Is I now have to deal with the lowball bids. But I'd rather do that than give stuff away in auctions. I've been burned too many times on auctions with both raw and slabbed books. I'll run an occasional auction but it's only for a hot book or it has a reserve tied to it. Another thing you can do with BIN items in your store is run sales. I'm almost always running some kind of a sale. You can run a sale for up to 45 days and you pick the percentage off you want. And you can run multiple sales at one time. I'll usually do one sale for slabs at 10% off, another sale for all comics under $10.00 and a 3rd sale for comics over $10.00. Plus you can pick and choose which items are included in your sale. I agree, BIN with best off is my preferred ebay strategy. Sales have been almost non-existent on eBay over the past month or so. Sales here have been slow as well. I always get people "watching" the items, but it takes a while for them to sell. I would rather wait and not give the comics away with auctions.
