  1. S.H.I.E.L.D. Haul! (with super crappy phone pics) I buy a few moderns once in a while and here are my latest grabs. Love the Hastings Variant! Also managed to snatch the very limited "one per retailer" Deadpool sketch Variant that they were giving away at the "release party"! The wife won it and happily handed it over! Looks like they're going for $50 to $100 on ebay...so not a bad snag!
  2. Nice books! Too bad they all have writing on the cover...
  3. I just watched it tonight. Good flick considering the budget. I thought it presented an interesting approach to the apocalyptic movie concept. The ending...major spoiler read at your own risk!
  4. This is the most intelligent response yet... and So judgemental. Almost like what you collect rocks and what others like sucks. This might sound surprising to you, but comics were made for reading and handling, not for collecting in plastic cases. And you can damage a comic in a holder. They are not insufficiently_thoughtful_person proof. Plenty of board members here collect rare, high grade and pedigree comics and they love to handle them in hand without 'protection' and are not afraid of damaging them. All you have to know is how to handle them properly. And I apologize if my comment was offensive or judgemental. I have many more raw books than slabbed and appreciate them for what they are.
  5. I agree 100%! No logical reason. If you want to touch, smell and read... buy a rag to go along with your graded book. The only exception to his rule may be a mega key in a case where you can't afford two copies. On anther note, the argument that CGC graded books don't bring a premium is generally a bunch of . They do in most cases...especially key books.
  6. From the Comic Link auction, but had to post them here, too! Love the Sgt. Fury 2...I've wanted one for a looong time!
  7. Here's a couple of nice Annuals. Annual #3 looks much better than a 9.0. Not sure what I'm missing.
  8. Sig series is bull and this proves my point. How does this book hold any value now? The signatures aren't worth the paper they're written on...litterally.
  9. Picked this bad boy up on Comic Connect, Just got it Friday! Sweet!
  10. Nice books! Great to see collectors picking up some Sgt. Fury! I am not alone!
  11. DavidTheDavid sold me this one last week .... I liked it so much, I bought another Steranko to go along with it this week!
  12. Here's my new book this week! Thanks DavidTheDavid!! Love this cover!!!
  13. Thanks! (thumbs u It's getting there! I think you might be the first boardie that has given me props!! Oh, and Sgt. Fury...not drek!!
