  1. Movie stars were used frequently on romance covers, adds a mystique to its rarity.
  2. As I'm sure you savvy MLJ collectors may(or may not) know, HA has a nice selection of HARD to find Blue Ribbon Comics/Mr. Justice covers ending in their Sunday night auction this week. I have a lot of these( so I won't be in the running) and the ones I would want are restored( I personally prefer even mid to low grade examples over a high grade restored one, unless the restoration is very very minor). That number 14 is an underrated gem, hope a boardie gets it......
  3. This thread needed a bump again! An oldie but goody, featuring The Black Hood, Roy the Superboy, and The Wizard, in a Castle." Look out for the Knight in Armor!!!!"
  4. Nice going Mr.C (thumbs u . Now off to CGC?
  5. Beautiful. Striking model and color contrast
  6. Sweethearts 119 Indeed. Some go Cuckoo for CoCo Puffs, Me-hee for Yoo-hoo, Girls Gone Wild crazy for this cover. But it's not for everyone. Wasn't me, Sagii. Got the set at the San Diego Con in 2004. But don't worry. Give me a little time, and I'll outsnipe you on something else, I figger. I'm sure you will . This thread is on FIRE, glad to see all the romantic splendor being displayed here( hope that came out right). Great post about how you amassed your peerless collection btw.
  7. You know, I just can't hold back this question any longer: Where the fluck did you get all these amazingly high grade rare romance comics??? Some great Fawcett there, nice grades too! That 'True Confidences' cover has always been a fave of mine. BTW, if that 'Love Mystery' was on either eBay or HA Sunday auction I believe fairly recently, YOU outbid me good Dr. so it comes full circle! Great show yesterday/ early this morning!
  8. Don't know when you came in, but hope you've enjoyed the plethora of covers tonight
  9. NICE!!! Its great being here, yeah, i'm being accepted slowly but surely into the other threads. Cant believe i waited so long to join. yes, the bidding thing needs some work. Chalk it up to the heat of battle

  11. I like this! Cant believe more folks dont appreciate the photo covers
  12. Liking the orange color scheme on this one. Looks like a flat clean copy
  13. I think they had the hot girl thing down cold, . Just some nice stuff, with an array of different tones by each publisher. You have an exhibit worthy collection my friend! Take a bow
  14. Now that is nice. You are right. the tones just give it a moody tone. The girl aint too bad either!
  15. I want to say yes...but it is kinda hard to tell.but, you maybe right. on a scale of 1 to 5, i'd say a four that its early MM
  16. i am off tomorrow. just put on some coffee, . WOW! And to think, the crime, horror, and superheroes, to some extent, took all the heat for 'corruptable' content. Looks like romance had its candidates too! This has to be the best thread going tonight!
  17. I asked, and I just knew I'd receive! That one is most definitely going on my want list! Really really nice stuff Doc!
  18. Now that is a gem! I'm used to seeing 'come hither' covers for 'Quality' romance comics. Would you say that is usually the case too?
