  1. Grab from this year, 1st appearance of Honey Bunny. Warners was always looking for an 'answer' to Minnie Mouse. There were examples in ads where Honey looked like Bugs with a bow between her ears (ala Minnie>Mickey), but those just looked like Bugs in one of his drag bits. It wasn't until decades later they finally got the formula right with Space Jam and the introduction of Lola Bunny (a popular character with people who maybe were introduced to Looney Tunes trough that film), I believe this version of Honey Bunny was the 'prototype' for Lola.
  2. Secondly, i got heavily into bronze horror this year, so much so it distracted me from gold a lot. My top 3 in that journey
  3. Ok, since Cat said it's more of a collecting journey, the second post will stray from gold, but are still comics. So, i think i posted in a Thread asking goals for this year that i'd love to have a Mile High copy, that goal was achieved. Also got a rare book, a key 1st appearance and a classic cover back in the PC.
  4. @grendelbo DC gets most of the love for the genre/era (and yes hard to compete with Adams and Wrightson), but Tom Sutton was the Charlton MVP and agreed amazing effort!
  5. Even your funny animal books are stunners Killer copies Mr. B
  6. Yes, but it is helpful for my decision making for asking the question on 'opportunities' to pass or wait, who doesn't seem to have signed as much by comparison and paying a premium or not. It's a start for me in other words
  7. @D2 I think you maybe right, he was one of the names I figured maybe. For writers Claremont? Obviously data isn't accessible or disclosed, but was hoping to have some sort of metric to chase rarer ones as a subset. Appreciate it!
  8. Does anyone know who the top 5 creators are in terms of signed books out there (not in terms of 'value' or sought after) I mean in terms of quantity. In other words , there's probably a lot of them out there! *and also, is there one or more among the names that still command premiums even with the high numbers? I'd imagine Stan Lee would be one such example.
  9. Thanks, classic cover imho Sorry for the long response , but felt i had to tackle your post with nuance, balance and context. Cool Thread!
