Have a Cigar! MLJ Publishing and Golden Age Archie only!
sagii replied to Shield's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
Quite the achievement @RedGiant. Appreciate the nod, and happy to have let that one go to such a great set and big fan of the run! Originally that was a goal, but could never stay focused enough as i became interested in Ace (and later Centaur) and other books that i gave up almost halfway to my goal (i scored 10 out of 22). They are some of my favorite golden age books (especially the Sam Cooper Mr. justice covers). On the rare occasion i let an MLJ go, i try to replace it with another MLJ Congratulations buddy, beautiful set (and love that there are a mix of grades)!!! -

PBA galleries auctioneers new collection 40000+ Every DC
sagii replied to Tbone911t's topic in Golden Age Comic Books
As a kid who grew up on bronze and copper age era DC comics (Superfriends, Chris Reeve, Lynda Carter, reruns of George Reeves and Adam West era DC stuff) I'd never thought I'd see the day Batman (out front in this promotional pic) usurped Superman as the face of DC comics. Many of the Disney (acquired and original ex:Marvel) properties would probably do better than Mickey Mouse in a theatrical film release. They would never make Iron Man, The Incredibles or Darth Vader the face of Disney. It's about the history. We could ponder all kinds of 'what if' scenarios, but what is is that Suoerman gave birth to the long underwear industry. Period. That kind of historical impact should be respected. Don't mean to derail Thread. Now back to your regularly scheduled program. Hope to have a shot at one or two of the early DC's in this offering. -

WOW COMICS #10 CLASSIC Mary Marvel COVER CGC
sagii replied to sagii's topic in Golden/Silver/Bronze Age Only
I thought that looked wrong -
Hi all, offering up one of my favorite books because I have my eye on potential other comic collecting focus. First in Thread trumps any ongoing PM negotiations. Paypal or bank wire transfer preferred. Returns welcome up to 2 days after receipt of book, return shipping on buyer. Will ship USPS Priority Mail (shipping on me). Wow Comics #10, Marc Swayze masterwork and a favorite among Fawcett collectors and novices alike. Covers with Mary Marvel have become extremely hot lately with a couple matching even Cap Jr Raboy cover desirability. This is one of them. HA has had some great results with this book in various grades. This copy CGC 4.0 OW/W is gorgeous for the grade. Asking $1700 (or best offer, please feel welcome to PM).
