I give Action 1 an additional bump as well because it contains the origin story. Batman is the only major GA first appearance that I can think of that doesn't contain the origin (despite what CBCS puts on its labels)

I was not a fan of the glued cover from another book as well. That being said this sale at almost 8k and a .5 restored last month (trimmed, wrong back cover) went for over 5k. Fun book to watch get it's due finally. waiting for the day it overtakes some of these other pre robin tec covers.

One of my AF 15's is a CGC .5 with the coupon cut out of the back cover only There was a similar one on the boards that came back cgc 1.0 . Both are really nice copies too. Might resubmit

Personally I think it has to do with NCIS: LA going into it's 6th season
-
People have been anticipating it for a while

So yeah.....Metropolis has a 1.0 Restored with Brittle Pages for a "Buy It Now" price of $15k.......ummmmm
-
the 1.5 Restored on CC is up to $6,700 now still with 13 days to go I bought a 1.5 Blue OW-W pages on the Bay 4 years ago for $1,500 (it's been long gone) but that's quite a spike in price

I can only recall 2-3 unrestored Tec 38's for sale in the last 5 years....

These letters are awesome to see and read

I'd guess not much more than it went for on eBay. I'd say it tops out at 10k

I've bought 2 af 15's from him in recent years. I've been happy with his books. Both were candidates for pressing and I received a minimum 1.0 grade bump

Nice to see those pics! Thanks for taking the time to share

That really kind of defeats the purpose of the whole "ask gator " thread granted you didn't start it so I'll cut you some slack.....

Love this casting. Looks like Hal to me! Ryan Reynolds is/will be a great DP. Check him out in an indie film called The Voices (about a serial killer who takes orders from his cat) It's terrific

beautiful bright colors!

12 K for 3.0 ??!!!! Amazing what this book continues to do in 3.0 and below in short periods of time.

I had an Overstreet advisor tell me (also a boardie and his store is well known to this community) that his wife told him that comics are like "crack" to his customers

Man, Bats 1's are everywhere. Never suprises me to see one I have never seen before. great price IMO as well for this book I'd get it take the extra staples out and decide on what to do with the trimmed centerfold personally
-
I wouldn't touch that one id leave as is beautiful!
-
Best splash page in the history of comics IMO
-
Great stuff everyone! I had no idea as to the extent of his appearances during the 10 cent age! wow (and Loki to boot!)
-
Cap 1 from 1941 has a story on Thor's brother and mentions Thor the god of thunder on the splash page

The 9.4 AA 16 has got to be there. I know Rick disagrees but I have yet to speak to anyone else who's opinion I value in the hobby that does not place it in the top 5 due to overall scarcity of the book (in conjunction with being a major DC key of a present named hero)
