Nobody said it was Heard vs. Depp, but thankfully INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY is not based on H vs D either.

It's pretty sad that this movie forum has become the gossip forum and in some ways no better than the casher racks full of gossip rags and it's worse that people care so much about the gossip.

More of your thinly veiled insults at posters in this forum but then at the same time you go and cry to admin that you’re being attacked and want Mike to crack down on “contentious posts”.

If this forum is so bad then why come in here?
(that was a rhetorical question, I am not at all interested in your answer to that fyi)

@TupennyConan I blame you for content like this because of your dastardly thread

If you’re not listening to the All The Right Movies podcast you are absolutely missing out!  These guys do a fantastic job with deep dives into a films cast, crew, production, plot etc.  They dropped an episode last week on Die Hard, one of my favorite Christmas movies! 🎅🏼

    Not true at all.

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY and let's not start abridging that.

Johnny Depp is the perfect example. He got blacklisted over the Amber Heard trial while he was innocent and she was a nut.

Would YOU like to be presumed guilty until proven innocent?

The Depp/ Heard trial is a false equivalency, he didn’t have multiple people coming forward with stories (unless I missed it, which I may have)

And I don’t have any first-hand info to say whether he’s guilty or no, what I said is more  often than not, which is a pretty fair statement.  Not to mention he’s got a track record that is starting to emerge including his talent or PR agency (I can’t remember which).

    Thank you.

One movie forum, sitting in the visible Comics forum, where movies of any description are allowed, unsegregated. The usual rules would apply of course - if anyone breaks moderation rules, such as discussing politics or agitating members, you moderate them in the normal way.

To help you ruminate, would non-comic movie threads be allowed in the Water Cooler if you decide against? If so, and they are started there, any moderation activity would be required regardless of location so the only remaining consideration would be the preservation of the comic only discussions rule. I think we can live with another exception, don't you?

Please do also consider all the work Bosco has put into the forum. It's a life's work for him, so please give it and him the respect they deserve by thinking this decision through carefully. There is a danger that we forget that the overwhelming majority of members just want to visit, chat and have fun. Draconian actions and rules, often applied to solve problems caused by a tiny minority, are not the way to build a community. The majority of movie discussions are comic related - do we really care if a few other film types are discussed alongside them too? :foryou:

This cannot be overstated. Without Bosco’s very reliable effort in this forum it would be a far less engaging sub.  Look at the ‘Latest movie you’ve watched’ thread and it’s not even a shadow of this space.  Personally I think he should at the very least enjoy a free CGC membership.

So at the 1:10-30 mark, he's not talking about how he was simply trying to act out him witnessing a dying universe that eventually turned into him fighting a giant spider?

Am I misunderstanding that part of the video?

Actually my bad, I misunderstood what he meant about the spider/ end of universe. This is what happens when you go on a message board after Turkey dinner, IPAs and bourbon 🥃 :wavingwhiteflag:

The rules say non-comic book movies aren't allowed but the forum is full of non-comic book movies against the rules...you're calling me a victim? That doesn't make sense.

You'd be more accurate to focus on whoever it was that notified Mike and pushed Mike's hand into putting that stickied rule up.

I think EVERYONE would like clarity on what the actual rules are.

Personally, I WOULD PREFER NON COMIC MOVIES BE ALLOWED as I enjoy discussing them but rules are rules and they need to be clear and enforced, so I suggest you you figure it out with Mike, because I count 12 non-comic book movies just on the 1st three pages of this forum. doh!

I did some heavy lifting for you. You're welcome.

I've seen a few bad movies in my life, most I stop watching before they suck 2 hours out of my life.  But of the ones I have seen to the end, I think the most disappointing was Ghostbusters 2 (1989) because I loved the first one so much and the second one turned out to be such a carp fest.  Runners-up would be Caddyshack 2 and WW84, both were .

GB2 does have one thing going for it…Janosz! The character is comedic gold!
