  1. You guys know that eBay auctions are hard close and use proxy bidding right? If you are willing to pay $60 on an item but you "snipe" a bid of $40.53, it's your own fault when the item sells for $41.53. And you'll never know if auction winner bid $42 or $420, you just know it was more than you.
  2. Very nice book Robert, congrats The first Kirby Thing vs Hulk cover!
  3. Do you seriously just troll this forum 24/7 being a person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed? Someone pm how to block on the new forum please.
  4. No worries, interesting "Crime Does Not Pay" ad on the bottom of the page
  5. I've never met the guy but from I can gather he is a store front dealer for pull listers only at this point. With piles of "modern variant junk" (people can collect what they want, etc) so his customers can pick from multiple copies, to keep their runs high grade. This collection came from one of those pull listers. And those books are rough compared to the rest of his complete marvel runs. I never understand the haters on here.
  6. Thanks for the heads up on Janson, I'll be grabbing a copy.
  7. It's complete and firmly attached, I'd like to try a press for scientific purposes. See if that spine roll would ever come out.
  8. that is just awesome. What's the interior like?
  9. Just dug this relic out of my parents basement, I can't even imagine how many times it has been read. My cousins and I beat our comics like they owed us money when we were kids. This is one of the lucky few to still have a cover attached
  10. Congrats! They look awesome. Are you keeping that jerks restored #4?
  11. Absolutely, but I'm not subbing any oo SA collections anytime soon. This guy bought every marvel title off the rack starting in the mid 60s, back filled to complete the collection, and kept buying up to the week he died, afaik. I know there are guys on here that have done the same thing and kudos to them! But I don't get to see them opening their boxes. I'm a sucker for the history of the hobby, and to see the grades he's getting, unpressed, is crazy for a complete collection that the owner actually read before he died. Great stuff. I recently contacted the guy facilitating the sale for the widow and mentioned to try a sale here, rather than eBay. I personally love having books in my collection that came from collectors like this - like me - that bought only the best copies on the shelf.
  12. Really? No one else likes seeing this stuff? I guess I'm the only one that doesn't get to unbox Hulk 1s
