  1. Umm, you don't know me at all so for you to say you don't believe me that I "didn't know - blah blah" is pretty much worthless. No offense Frank
  2. And I do have quite a large collection of raw original owner books to sell from the 30's - 60s. . If you don't trust me, don't like me or can't read between the lines here then I would suggest you put me on some sort of block so you don't have to see my stuff.. Otherwise, let the books, my reputation and my service speak for itself.
  3. I disagree, quality at good prices is all that matters. Hopefully people can see through the BS. Who knows. This is "fun" for me, not my business and I enjoy it. If ppl like my comics and continue to receive them in a timely manner and as described, I would beg to differ that statement Frank
  4. Adam, your relationship with me since the theft? I don't think I have spoken a single word to you or heard a word FROM you since the "theft". The books we bought together was at my warehouse in 08-09. and yes, the phone number of that gentleman was given to my Brother from Vic and to Vic from some guys at the flea market in Buffalo and those guys from someone else in Rochester. My Brother gave it to 2 other people, one of which was the guy that got arrested. Ummmm, that is exactly what I said! Don't make it look like I am saying some sort of lie. That is what I said in my thread and to you! So yes, I was absolutely correct in stating that the phone ended up in the wrong persons hands. Do you really think anyone could anticipate that would happen? And I appreciate you at least owning up to the fact that you were wrong in throwing accusations out about any of us being involved in that crime. And yes, my Brother does have a different take on things. He did tell me that you have a substance prob, I have never witnessed this and I am not saying you do. Who knows and who cares, do what you want in your private life. I told him yesterday about your post and he said stay away from that kid he's trouble. Again, I never witnessed anything. He did also say that re: $$ that you apparently got screwed by some OTHER guy in NYC (weird how you seem to be getting screwed by all these ppl) and he helped recover a large chunk of that $$ for you and you had promised to give him a % of what he could help recover and you never did. Again, this is heresay, I have no clue if it is true. I do not ever recall saying that my Brother stole comics from someone ever. I only met you that day to try to act as a mediator to try to help resolve the issues you guys had and avoid any further harm. Lastly my Brother is 5'6 and I personally have never witnessed him threaten anyone. ha. And as far as criminal activity goes: unless you consider traffic tix criminal, then no, he does not have a record in any way shape or form. No clue what your talking about with Greece police.
  5. Adam, as long as my character is in question, and is a direct result of what you and ONLY you said, yes, I will continue to defend myself. This is you, these forums, so you have a reputation on here. I have a reputation locally that is impeccable and I think you know that. I encourage you to give me an example of any local collector or dealer saying anything different. I also think it is fair to clear up that I was NOT part of my Brothers comic book shop when you and him were dealing. I know first hand that my Brother told you that I was not interested in being any part of the business. I also think it is unfair for you to cast doubt subliminally in peoples minds by saying "I HEARD, BUT.." Keep this about you and me. I was blindsided by your posting yesterday. I had no idea you even considered me associated with your problems.
  6. I am glad you feel that way about Adam, I can see you are an advocate for the guy. I apologize that I don't share your enthusiasm for his character, specifically because he basically made accusations associating me with criminal activity by association and creating doubt and assumption of guilt in other peoples minds from his posting. As a result, I am being unfairly judged based on his comments. if you were me, you would be a little ticked too. Just sayin..
  7. No way, you are so far off. I closed my shop and got out of retail in 2006! I didn't even know Adam at that point. It wasn't until a couple of years later that my Brother opened a store himself, I had absolutely nothing to do with the store when Adam and him had their problems, Adam will attest to that. That was his gig. I was absolutely no part of his shop. I want to say it was some time in around 2008 or 9. I don't remember. I just opened my shop in November of last year and asked my Bro to work for me. By the way, my Bro is a good guy. I would never throw him under the bus. If he ever stole 30K in books from Adam, he sure never showed it. He supports his Fam from paycheck to paycheck ever since he got married 10 years ago and if he ever came into some 30K windfall, it sure didn't show! OH: And I was baptized in 1972. I went on my first date when I was 14 late bloomer I know, anything else you would like to know about me for your "clarification"? So short answer, NO I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEIR DEALINGS.. I WAS NOT PART OF THAT STORE. Ask Adam, he'll tell ya.
  8. Yes, it is definitely weird how it went from being new on here and learning the ropes with really good intentions of making some connections and sales, to someone who dealt with my BROTHER a few years back and putting up a post and linking ME to their situation and ending up here now. It is very interesting and I think it is a good idea that Adam and I discuss this publicly. I would strongly encourage that and am 100% open to doing so if he is. Maybe that will clear a few things up.
  9. Actually I did a quick eBay search. Saw a run from 1-66 sell for $250. I figured I have 1-25 and wanted to sell, not sit. So I decided to post at the price I posted at. I probably have .50 each Into those books. I'm extatic to have received $100 for them. No scamming going on here. If I sell my stuff too cheap, it's honestly my choice (or my mistake) but I honored the sale.
  10. Getting ready to unload some books ASAP, Golden and Silver age with some bronze. Haven't sold before, only through Ebay now and then over the years. I am not really a set price type of seller but it seems as though that's the way to go on here. Is it rude or wrong to ask for offers on books through this forum? Or do you guys prefer a set price in the posting? Thanks Frank
