  1. So does the sale price include shipping? Or is it extra? How will the book be shipped? The sale price includes shipping because he paid for it. Tracked packet International So did he pay $211.81 USD for the book and shipping or did he pay $211.81 plus actual shipping cost? If shipping was included in the sale price, would this be a fair approximation? $218 (sale price) - $6 (PayPal fee) - $45 (CDN to USD converted shipping cost) = $167 $167 (funds after all fees) - $108 (what you paid for the book) = $59 profit Is that how the deal went down? He paid $220 plus the actual shipping cost So here's how it went down I wanted 210 Shipped for it, he contacted me and I asked him to give me the address I said that it would cost 10 dollars extra He then sent over 20 dollars instead of 10 because I said it could cost extra as it's just a quote. I went and got the actual quote and he went with the one that Cost $42 USD So I took it away and left him with the difference that he had left to pay $42-20= $22 I told him I felt bad for messing up the first quote so I will give him an $8USD credit for my mistake so it's like he had paid 28 usd $42-28USD = $14 He paid the difference of 14USD and thanked me So these are the final numbers $220 -8.91 PP fee -8 Shipping Credit = $203.09 The rest he paid for Your math is so damn confusing. So you wanted $210 shipped. Then you found out you couldn't figure out the shipping cost right so you told him to pay you an extra $10 to cover the cost of shipping. Once you got the actual shipping cost you found out you screwed up again and asked him for more money. You ask that he pay you an additional $14 so his grand total came out to be $210+$20+$14 = $244? If that's the case then its sad you didn't honor your price to the buyer. If you stated $210 shipped then it should have been that. The fact you charged the buyer shipping charge after you quoted him a "shipped" price is shady. 210 is what I said it would be then I said add 10 dollars and that should cover and I also said I'll get a quote and see what they tell me just in case and you pay the rest and he agreed. Nothing is shady about it I told him everything I was doing. You kept adding more shipping which was more than the original price. I also said that I have to check to make sure if that quote was accurate and he agreed to pay whatever else there was to pay, I don't rip people off I tell them what I pay.

  8. Because it has no insurance Wrong. Try again. Because it has no tracking he can say he didn't get it and file a claim
  9. I had the shipping already worked out for Canada and the US
  10. Added some more important info for you Finger nails are trimmed Gabe, I was just joking dude. I think though, what people are questioning is that the whole shipping thing overseas is not clear...Have you actually "sold" the book? Or are you still finalizing a deal with the potential buyer? Whatever you do, do not ship anything of value overseas without tracking and proper insurance (as in, you should insure it for at least near the full value of the item). No the comic has sold it's just the shipping part we're working on
  11. I haven't even posted all the numbers yet Everyone here can see the handwriting on the wall. If you are on the hook for shipping, there's a good chance that after fees, you might only break even or even lose money. Why don't you post the dialogue between the buyer and yourself so we can see what you actually committed yourself to? I'm not sure how to screenshot because it won't let me do it so I copy and pasted it and whatever he says will be bolded UK Ok give me a few minutes and which comic are you interested in? Batman 189 Ok I'll get you the update in a couple min I'm just eating right now ? 13. He doesn't want insurance just a signature confirmation Uhmm the insurance should be for your own protection not his... This x100 Insurance is to protect seller - if a a package arrives damaged - the buyer has all kinds of protection. You should include this by default for any international shipment - especially for $100+ package...... He shouldn't have offered to cover the shipping for international I didn't, I went back and checked what I said and I didn't say I would cover it so what happens now is if it's anything over 20 dollars he paid for shipping he'll pay the rest.

Yes I haven't got the exact quote yet but with what I know it will be around 25 plus and that gives me 100 insurance on it.
  15. It will come with 100 dollars insurance automatically and I'll have to see how much it will cost
  16. I did and it gave me 6 different options Did you look at those options or just pick the first thing possible? Did you put in proper weights and sizes or just pick numbers from the wild number picking tree? Small PacketTM - International Surface - $18.44 (NO TRACKING AVAILABLE!) Small PacketTM - International Air - $38.34 (NO TRACKING AVAILABLE!) International Parcel - Surface - $48.26 (NO TRACKING AVAILABLE) Tracked PacketTM - International - 7 business days - $61.09 (YEAH TRACKING!) XpresspostTM - International - 4 business days (Guaranteed) - $89.61 (YEAH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE)! Facts are soooo overrated. I listed all the options and went with what he told me

No I didn't put random numbers and I know the measurements of the box and yes I told him of all the shipping options and he wanted the cheapest
  18. I just checked and I said if it's doable I'll do it and if not then I won't and I said I would check saturday but I asked him again just in case and see what he wants to do The reason I say this is because it was supposed to be 210 shipped to the US or Canada
  19. And now with a sig required, he needs to send express post. That doubles or triples the shipping cost doesn't it? Jim Yes it increases cost significantly. Agreed but with the weak dollar it will equal out You know what the hipsters says...11 is the new 107 Jim I'll update you guys once I know
  20. He doesn't want insurance just a signature confirmation Uhmm the insurance should be for your own protection not his... It would have 100 of insurance on it already because of how it would be sent but like I said once I get an accurate quote I'll update it.
  21. The first two are right and I sold it on facebook not ebay and the rest I'll let you know.
