  1. Yes he is. He has a friend who he has his US buys shipped too...Guess he neglected to advise you of that or change his PayPal? The address is fine that it's going to.
  2. You have nothing to be worried about I have friends that I ship comics to make things cheaper.
  3. It's not a personal buy it's the first living tribunal which according to my friend might have a role in the infinity wars. I've not heard of anyone gearing up for this book but weirder things have happened. You definitely like these long shot books. Yes but not going all in one them.
  4. If I knew he just needed to have this book so bad, I would have just mailed him one out for free. Gabe you gotta stop wasting your money. Jim I'm still up for it if you want to send one over

  10. This may be a public forum but this is my journal. A meme here or there is fine but not spamming pages of it. True, which is where asking people to stay on topic if such things bothers you, is probably the best way to go. Then again, you've got someone who is willing to point these things out to you It's not that I haven't noticed it's just that I was being polite and you guys knew when to stop but I'll mention it next time. Actually, in this case Gabe, being polite would be telling everyone here that you thank them for their advice, but you are going to do what you want to do, and you really don't need any help. I think part of your social inadequacies lies with not being able to communicate in a assertive manner. Just my assumption. You're right I'm not assertive and I should start. Listening to that guy should be about the last thing you should do...seriously. and what vested interest do you have? Who the hell are YOU? Easy guys I know people like you, you may be brash but you tell the truth. All I'm saying is he should get his own life in order before offering you any life advice. There's also a difference between being someone who "tells the truth" and someone who's just a jerk I would say the OP's problems go far beyond needing a 'kick in the pants' to get started, or some comic flipping tips. There appear to be issues at the core which will impede him his entire life if unaddressed. And while all of the advice is well intentioned, it may lack context or nuance, which is very very important given the OP's situation. Especially any advice related to behavior/personality modification (given his emotional/mental/learning complexities). I once again vote for a ceasing of all 'flipping' activities until professional (licensed therapist) help can be sought and/or full time employment has been attained. But I know that will fall on deaf ears because of an obviously addictive personality mixed with a lack of analytical reasoning skills, added to a healthy inability to be self-aware. Good advice that Gabe has ignored time and time again. Sometimes you have to just let someone make their choices and live the consequences of those choices. That's my take on it too. Maybe it's "enabling"..I don't know, but I figured as long as he's going to do whatever he wants, I might as well try to point him in the right direction. Unfortunately most of that advice has fallen on deaf ears as well. Indeed but I'm happy that my emotional and impulse buying was pointed out to me. I'm curious...You say you are seeing a professional...How is it that it that "boardies" are providing you with these "revelations"? Have these impulses not been flagged for you by your professional provider? It seems unlikely to me that these impulsed would be limited to just comic book purchases...? No because I never mentioned my spending habits nor the comics that I buy.
  11. I was busy and there wasn't much to reply to tbh just boardies talking to each other.

  13. Find a fee-free account. Yeah I'll see what I can find and work out
  14. I do have money in my savings account Do you bank a certain percentage of your sales or do you take all the money from the stuff you sell and use it to buy more stuff? I save about 10-20% depending on how much I bought and sold it for Do you actually make 20% on most sales you make... And follow up after the 10-20% goes into savings. How much goes to the Gabe collection? Finally how often can you put 20% into savings and x into Gabe do you actually still have any extra 'profit' left over to buy anything extra? I think he was saying he puts away 10-20℅ of his profit. So if he makes $0.40 on a sale, he puts away $0.04- $0.08. That's the way I interpreted it also. Who knows, properly invested, that 8 cents could grow into a quarter or even a half dollar by the time he's ready to move out on his own. Uh, wait a minute... Har Har it does add up you know. Absolutely it adds up. My point is that by the time you're ready to move move out on your own, that 8 cents will likely have increased in value enough to buy a couple of class A shares of Berkshire Hathaway stock. Haha I don't think it will take me that long to move out

I save about 10-20% depending on how much I bought and sold it for How is this possible when you're over $1000 in the hole? He owes the bank $200 in his savings account. Nope I owe nothing to the bank except the monthly fee that I pay.

No I don't make 20% on everything so simply put I divide things by 2 and give 10% to each, However I've been doing so terribly everything but 10% has been going to my savings account and the rest to keep buying and selling.

Oh that's simple, whether I make money or lose it on comics it goes to my savings account.
