  1. I bought from them a few times years ago and had similar experiences. Over-graded, poor customer service communication, website is hard to navigate. Every now and then I check them out thinking maybe it's a better site.
  2. Thanks for sharing Raffle prizes. Another part of the fun to see the generosity and creativity.
  3. Keeping this going as part of the fun is to see what people got.
  4. I'd say Baltimore from my experience. C2E2 isn't bad but that is because Dale and Bob are there so I have a comfort-zone. Used to be better before COVID.
  5. Looks like what Motor City Con has become. Fewer comic dealers since COVID and that was actually declining for a few years before. I traveled to Baltimore this past year and it was far better in regards to Comic Dealers. Plus I usually go to C2E2 to catch Bob Storms and Dale Roberts. (I guess I could just order online but not as fun as in person) Thanks for the report on New Orleans! I went to a couple Wizards (in Chicago) back in the day but didn't like the cost and path they were on.
  6. So cool you got the Heroes of the Horrors book! I had that as a kid over 40 years ago. Read it many times. Good memories and still have it though it's falling apart a bit...
  7. Picking @Ron C. Mystery Box turned out to be awesome! (I thought it would be good as he was my Secret Santa a few year's back...) I was stunned by the cool things he included. 4 CGC books with two signed! Upgrade to Battlestar Galactica #1 from my youth. Fantastic comics like Wolverine #3 and #4, Man-Thing #1 (another from my youth! Remember buying it at drugstore.) Sal Buscema art book, a Destroy All Monsters Super 8! Original art! Plus much more. Thanks again to Ron for the great gifts and generosity! Happy New Year everyone!
  8. Another wonderful Raffle Event in the books to close out 2023! Thanks again Sledder for all your hard work and patience! This, along with the Secret Santa, make the site special and add to the community. We can all share in the hobby we love. Let's get more people involved next year and make 2024 the biggest yet! Happy New Year everyone!
  9. Once "coffee" is associated with candy, I'm out. Blech
  10. Frazetta prizes are always tempting. It was on my list
  11. Not shocked mine is drifting down. Reminder: the title says 5 BA JLA books but there are other JLA sets included. Might not be for everyone. Great prizes still left!
  12. My fourth is still here so I'm excited to select #14 from Ron C.!
  13. If picking live, you'll need to spell out what you picked.
  14. I'm planning on picking live though I do have my list in. May change at last moment... I'm insured either way...
  15. I'm happy you enjoyed them! I usually try and personalize the cards, some better than others... Merry Christmas!
  16. My tradition has been to open these on Christmas Eve after family has left and we're winding down to start again tomorrow. Wow, did Thoth Amon send me some great books! Merry Christmas indeed! Giant-Size, 100 Pagers, Dollar Comics, Treasury Edition... straight back to when I was just starting collecting. Thanks again Thoth Amon! Merry Christmas to everyone here.
  17. One of my early purchases at the drugstore. Loved it and brings back fond memories. (Had to buy an upgraded copy later as my 13 year old self/collector read it too many times...)
  18. One week until Christmas Eve. 8 days until all the reveals! Then let the Raffle Experience begin!
  19. 2015 - Me! And the magical, mystical Greggy Mystery Box! Step right this way...
