  1. No sales below a 5.5 recorded. $610 8.5 last sale was $715 Thanks a lot!
  2. Where can I look up the value of TWD #1 in low/medium grade? I'd like to buy a #1 but I can't afford to buy a high graded one. I'd just like to know if I have any chance to buy a 5-6-7-8 graded one or if they are too expensive for me. EDIT: Just found out about past GPA sales. Can anyone look up the last TWD #1 sales cgc from 4 up to 8.5?
  3. Cool, thanks. I never thought it would be worth hundreds, its shape is not even good ( I'd give it a 6.0). I was wondering if the "error" would make the price lower than the price of a normal #84 with the same grade or not, but I guess it highly depends on the buyers.
  4. Yeah, it is. I know it isn't worth much, but I just wanted to understand if this is common or not. I had never seen a trapezoidal book I got this book just because it was only $2 and I actually needed #84 in my collection. I was wondering if from a collector's point of view it is just a book to be dumped in the recycle bin or if it could still be worth something. I'll keep it anyway because I like it
  5. Just got TWD #84 for a couple bucks with this printing error: It's not rectangular, it's trapezoidal. Was it worth my couple bucks or less/more?
  6. Yeah, I didn't know it but I expected it to be like you said. Faking $100 books isn't worth it. However, maybe it's good that there are fake #100 hero initiative variants in the wild. I might buy one in the near future for less than $20, just because I'll never afford buying a real one. What are the odds of finding a real #100 hero initiative, an official one sketched by an artist, for less than $1000?
  7. What $100 WD book did you buy? That might help us. Don't get discouraged about buying WD books. rh3522 is right about the cost of making fakes. The only reason the Hero 100 was counterfeited is because it's a high priced book and if anyone can get away with selling a fake for $10k then to them it's worth it. Good to know! Thanks! I bought a #115 B&W 1 per store variant. Do you know about any other fakes in circulation? I only know about #100 hero and #100 blank red foil variant. No I don't know of any. If you are in doubt maybe you can sub it to CGC, if that's something you're into. $100 for a b&w #115 is a sweet price. Unluckily it's $100 + shipping, which is going to cost around $40, custom fees included ( USA to Europe) Thanks for your help, I guess I'll keep buying twd books then, hoping to get a complete set in the future

  9. Hey guys, I have a question: how often are fake/counterfeit TWD comics sold? I'm asking this because I've recently bought a $100+ raw TWD variant book (limited to less than 1000), but I've just found out the seller has sold more than 10 of the same book in the past few months. I don' think he's selling fake books, but that just made me think. How easy is it to create fake books and sell them as real ones? I wanted to buy a #100 hero initiative blank a few months ago, but then I stopped looking for it because some fake copies were spotted. They were a little bit different from the original though, but it was hard to understand it was a counterfeit. What if perfect fake copies of #1 start circulating? Maybe there are a lot of counterfeits in circulation that we don't know anything about. Buying that book made me think so much about this that I'm probably about to quit collecting TWD books... But since I'm no expert and instead don't know anything about how a counterfeit could be created and if it's even possible to do all this... I'm just asking you.
  10. That's insane... I had $1500 and I wanted to bid on it, but the price got higher and higher I just hope I can get a blank one for around $1500 in the future. I'm pretty sure one sold a few weeks ago in the 1400-1500 range on ebay....I know that a few sellers had two copies. You might want to msg. the seller and ask.But then again I'm sure he will be looking for top dollar if he has another one. I'm not interested in OA to be honest. I am not a "real" TWD collector ( like you James ), I just buy some specific issues I like and I don't care a lot about cgc grading ( even though I'm subscribed to these boards, so that may sound weird ). At the moment I'm looking to buy all the new issues and variants, but I'd like to get my hands on TWD #1, #4 and #100 Hero Initiative Blank, any grade would be fine. If I will ever get my hands on all of those comics, especially the #100 blank, I'll be happy and more than done with all the past twd issues I'd rather have another piece of OA for $1500 then a blank #100 that would never get graded, I think Evilash has a nice page for sale somewhere. Cause me, I'd want a sweet sketch on it by Adlard and then it wouldn't get graded by CGC. you'll have to settle for one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Walking-Dead-100-HERO-INITIATIVE-9-8-PGX-SIGNED-SKETCHED-by-CLIFF-RATHBURN-/281625784309?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4192346ff5 or http://www.ebay.com/itm/Walking-Dead-100-blank-variant-9-8-PGX-SIGNED-original-SKETCH-by-CLIFF-RATHBURN-/171701007252?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27fa2d7394 I'm just looking for a blank non-sketched #100, just because it's rarer to find a white one and because I may be able to get it sketched by Charlie, and then the comic would be worth A LOT. Also, I don't have that much money and even if I had it I'd rather buy a new car instead of buying those overpriced sketched issues

  12. Yes, but there was a rumour about an issue #7 limited edition in the wild I guess it was wrong though I can pretty much guarantee you there is no limited edition #7 at this show. It would've been cool though, a new cover by Charlie for an early number I really miss those days in the comics, where the group didn't know where to go and a lot of stuff had yet to be discovered... Issues 70 - 92 were so boring to me... Then #100 got me all excited again, then AOW was a little bit disappointing. #127 onwards seem to be cool though, looking forward to the #139 game changer ( and #141 as well)

  14. Que??? Where are you seeing anything about a variant of Issue 7? If this is true, hopefully Dre is still going to the show this year. I did see that CGC will be in attendance there as well. Should make it easier for those overseas boardies. A Place in Space, the UK comic store which will have the table at Comic Con where Charlie will be located at, hinted at it. They keep using that word "print". I do not think it means what you think it means. I just said what my UK friends that every month buy from A Place in Space told me. They think it'll be the #7, but I hadn't read their post =/ Now I don't think it is what I said before either

  16. It seems that will be released two limited edition of issue #7, the one Charlie started taking the interior art of. One should be coloured and both of them are supposed to be sold during the London Super Comic Con.
  17. I cannot prove it was you, but it's very suspicious that I started received those mails a few minutes after you were added in the PL list. I use that email address for some forums and for talking with a couple very well known friends. Also, they weren't just a couple mails. I received tons of emails, at least 20, which means that the guy sending those mails was someone who wanted to do something bad to me. Also, they were all English sites. You are the only english speaking person who knows my email address and this is the only english forum I subrcribed with that address. I don't think it is a coincidence. However, you're off the PL list now. I prefer not talking with you ever again.
  18. The box was an used box from a comic store he had bought from, so he didn't have to pay for it. $4 for bubble wrap? I don't believe him, when I sell stuff I always have boxes and bubble wrap at home that came from other shippings, so I just re-use them without making the buyer pay for box and bubble wrap, and he probably does it too. Also, there wasn't much of it inside the package.. I just make the buyer pay for the shipping price. Also I asked for priority shipping for $39, he agreed, and then sent first class, lying once more on the shipping price. He lied multiple times and behaved like a kid. I think I should receive another $3,30. If I do receive that money I'll be satisfied, because I'll get back the amount he shouldn't have taken from me. However, I won't suggest anybody to deal with him if he does get removed from the PL list. Really? Another $3.30 because you are GUESSING that he didn't have to buy bubble wrap??? Maybe he did, you have no idea. Looks like he made restitution to me. He clearly sent me some used boxes he received before which surely contained bubble wrap. He also buys a lot from the boards, so I think my guessing is right. Also, as I said, the bubble wrap wasn't much. The packages were poor, especially the second and he almost surely lied when he told me about the $4, as he always lied about the shipping costs. However, as I said, I don't feel like I received the total amount I should have been sent back, but I have no decisional power. If you feel to remove him from the PL list do it, if not I won't ask for removal. This is all a mute point now - he was already removed after you posted he gave you a refund. Just received the 3,30$ back. sslim66 admitted his errors and said he won't do it again. I can't totally believe him, but since he sells perfect books I won't say anything else. Now I feel satisfied, since I received the total refund of $33,30 I thought I should have been sent back. He can be removed from PL now if the rules say he has to be removed in case he sends the total refund I was requesting back. Thanks a lot for your support.
