  1. Thank you kimik, I was drawn to books like Groo and G.I. Joe as a kid and never really got heavy into the super hero genre outside of Batman. It is an appealing pitch though, so I will check it out and cross my fingers I don't turn into a ASM completist.
  2. Thank you Felix, Preacher, Ex Maxhina, and TWD are excellent examples that I'm a fan of. I haveLocke and Key on my radar. Looks like I'll be adding a few more, I heard Seconds was very good.
  3. Welcome This thread was created in hopes of discovering series that others may have found to be very emotionally stimulating to recommend to others. Below are two lists. The first list is compiled of books that have been recommended by three or more individuals. This is not to take away from any of the other recommendations made within the thread. It is merely to highlight the most recommended books. The second list is the remaining series that have been suggested. Enjoy! (thumbs u Most recommended 1) I Kill Giants 2) The Walking Dead 3) Y the Last Man 4) Strangers in Paradise 5) Pride of Baghdad 6) Ex Machina Recommended 1) Saga 2) Preacher 3) Sweet Tooth 4) Queen and Country 5) Locke and Key 6) Seconds 7) V for Vendetta 8) Watchmen 9) 100 Bullets 10) Sandman 11) Fables 12) Gotham Central 13) Scalped 14) Proof 15) Invincible 16) Stray Bullets 17) The Wake 18) The Essex County Trilogy 19) Southern Bastards 20) Lucifer 21) The Escapists 22) Maus 23) Ronin 24) Transmetropolitan 25) Strange Attractors 26) Li'l Depressed Boy 27) Hitman 28) OGN Last Days of an Immortal Small Print: For time and space saving, arcs will not be included within the lists but are always welcome to be suggested within the thread. The second list will be used primarily as a judge of how highly the series is recommended. It will not stay around forever as it would grow extensively.
  4. I'd wait. Id much rather spend that kind of money on a first Gwen anyway but I'm sure those will be easier to grab for less a few weeks or so after release.
  5. Speechless and baffled. No way someone is seeing this as an investment. Maybe they are completing an authentic as can be Halloween costume for next year? I'm sadly rooting for them to be doing that with it.
  6. Awesome news and congrats on such a sharp exclusive cover. Love it!
  7. Hmm... http://comicsheatingup.net/2014/12/21/big-things-for-enormous-in-2015/
  8. Yesterday I held a SIP #1 SS 9.8 in my hands, it was an absolute thing of beauty.
  9. Pretty amazing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PRINCE-ROBOT-IV-SAGA-COMIC-Sculpture-Statue-/281425794638?pt=US_Comics_Figurines&hash=item418648d64e No, not mine. Wish I had that skill though, I'd be making Lying Cats around the clock!
  10. Very nice, I'm also crossing my fingers one from the #1 RRP gets made or pops up.
  11. Anyone know of any prints (11x17 or so) other than the cover art for #1, 9, and 18?
  12. That is unfortunate you experienced that. Every one of my transactions has been stellar. Perfectly described and extremely well packed.
  13. comicsheatingup.net is giving away a really cool TMNT variant by ComicXposure.
  14. I have one copy. Not very invested in the book or the character, just raised the question. I also will stick by my thought with belief that a Spider-Gwen movie may happen. Not really sweating it if it doesn't happen but I think it would make a good movie. Believe it or not, not everyone that roots for a character is sitting on piles of books in hopes of cashing in. Shocking isn't it. Bravo on your try though.
  15. I guess I may live on planet me. Very good points, aside from the ones clearly biased by people who just can't stand anything popular because they either missed out or got burned on other books related to Spidey or what have you. Marvel has said they plan to release a film based off of a female character from the Spider-Man series, if not Gwen then who?
