  1. When i was a kid our family saved S & H green stamps and my parents saved up a bunch of books a bought me a sweet rubber ball just like the schools had ... i loved that ball
  2. i remember those and we used to kid the people that collected them that if they smoked and saved enough "cigarette miles" they could get a gold plated casket
  3. might want to check again as CGC comics also runs NGC coins and they run the message boards under the same umbrella
  4. Wow !! my allowance was 35 cents a week but it could buy a 20 cent comic, a 10 cent pack of baseball cards and a five cent candy bar ....

  6. yep , the word "key" is very important to the hobby , most hobbies included, in the coin collecting community for example ,.. with the Lincoln cent there are keys - 1909 SVDB, 1914 D, 1955 DD, 1931 S 1924 D ect... there are semi-keys 1913 S 1926 S 1922 D 1915 S ect.. and there are minor keys 1933 D 1955 S 1931 D 1917 S ect.....

  8. DC's Strange Adventures is a great example of a series that has plenty of great keys that are not first appearances ... here is another example of a key from the run....
  9. It is a great cover ! and i checked eBay - you can get one for $35 or so, maybe cheaper .. i bet @tv horror has this issue in his collection already !! (not graded of course )
