  4. publicity still inside the (studio) cathedral ?? For this production RKO Radio Pictures built on their movie ranch a massive medieval city of Paris and Notre Dame Cathedral in the San Fernando Valley.[11] This was one of the largest and most extravagant sets ever constructed.
  5. i read somewhere that there is a renewed interest in Hunchback comic books since the Notre Dame cathedral burned down

    R.I.P. to the patient ??
  8. Fascinating story TVHorror ! wow i can't believe they each had 45,000 word stories ... you are correct that the artwork is real good !! as good as many pre code horror comics i have seen ! i really like the King Kong cover (he has ripped a building right out of the ground and is wielding it like a club !) the only slightly bad cover is the mermaid one as she looks kinda masculine
  9. what do you think of the steamrolling demand for Atlas War Comics #11 ?
  10. looks more like the cast of Star Trek than it does the Beatles ??
  11. perfect example of the type of behavior that has driven Kav away in the past ..and likely caused him to leave again ,.. and this time maybe for good
  12. c CGC vs CBCS there is actually NO comparison,... it is like comparing GRADE A choice cuts vs cheap hamburger
  13. thanks and you and him both contribute more solid comic related information than just about anyone else and that is what makes these boards great !!
  14. he loves Curt Swan superman ! he has had some of his OA in published works , he has been through art school and readily gives tips and solid advice he is one of the first people to help expose fraud on eBay and other places ..he provides tips on how to deal with eBay customer service and often provides the direct phone number to best reach eBay... he is probably the best member we have on the boards... and yet some of the old guard that can't stand that they are not in control of these boards and it's members as they were many years ago when they teamed up and drove many potentially solid members away ... this same type behavior is still happening in the water cooler, there is a small clique over there that bands together and belittles all newcomers or those who do not think like they do.. this same group will abuse and hit the notify button without repercussion on us fellow comic collectors in a heartbeat if we disagree with their views this same clique actually believes they have the right to tell other members how to and how often they can posts Kav seldom ventured into the water cooler but when he did he made intelligent posts just as he does everywhere else ! but over there was belittled by the small gang that smears most everyone and the worst thing about it is that that same gang almost never makes comic book related posts ,.. they have joined a comic book chatboard and then have the nerve to insult and malign those of us who do love collecting comics
