Hit up garage sales for the first time ever today and did pretty well. I went to 5 sales that all advertised having collectibles or vintage items. Unfortunately, this meant they had old trash for the most part. Not a comic book in sight. After reading this whole topic, I decided I'd also incorporate video games and toys into my search and boy did it pay off. I knew Nintendo games, especially GameCube, are worth some cash so I picked up these games for $20. Total eBay value is looking to be around $200.

For the garage sale pros: if you're looking only for comics do you just go to the ones advertising comics or do you also hit up sales generically advertising collectibles?

Looks like the book hasn't moved too much since the beginning of the year (raw copies at least). Is there still room to grow on this one until the movie is released or has it peaked? Trying to determine if I should sell mine now or wait.

Thanks man. Thinking I may just go with some pre-Robin Detectives until I'm ready to throw down some real money. Still too early in my career for that.

Has the market rate been fairly stable for the past few years or does the book significantly increase in value year after year?

Hey guys, what is the current market price for a Batman #1 in 0.5 and does each 0.5 on top of that add a specific $X amount to the price? Trying to figure out how high of a grade I may be able to afford. Also, any stats on how much the price of a Batman #1 in each grade has increased in, say, the past 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc?
