I believe Terry Austin has kept most of his art.

As someone who lives in Seattle and spends plenty of time walking around downtown (sometimes even at night!), I would highly recommend not getting your news about Seattle from Jonathan Choe.

If only you had inked it that way at the time, it might be worth some real money these days. 🙂

I know. I was really shocked by the result. I thought I must have missed a claws-out Wolverine hanging out in the background or something. It is a really nice page, but the prices are just going through the roof.

Wow! Glad I finally pulled the trigger on a Lee/Williams X-Men page a couple years ago. Looks like I’m pretty much priced out of the market at this point.

Sure thing. I had been trying to get a Lee/Williams X-Men page for years since I had started collecting, but I always got out-bid. Finally picked this one up from a collector on CAF.

Oops, I left my original post below, but I was actually talking about the 276 page. That's the issue I picked up a page from. Original post: Great pick-up! I was surprised that the 277 page went quite as high as it did. Although, on the plus side it, made me feel a bit better about how much I paid for a 277 page a little while back. Mike

His art rep (Tom at Fanfare) retired at right around the same time. Not sure if Stuart has hooked up with a new rep since then. Mike

Yeah, this is how I feel. I have a few pieces like this, and the digital pencils don't really bother me at all. In every case though, it's the same artist doing inks over their own digital pencils. I think I'd feel differently if it were someone inking over another artist's digital pencils. Not really sure why though. Mike

I’m not much of an expert unfortunately, but I bought the page at a show, so I was able to take a close look at it, and there were several places where I could still see pencil marks, so I was pretty confident that it was ink over the original pencils. Like you said, I haven’t really heard anything specifically about his Kamandi run, but you can never be too careful. Mike

That's exactly where in ended up in my quest for a Kirby page. It's not a silver age Marvel page, but he was still doing good work on a character he created, and it wasn't going to break the bank. Maybe I'll add another page someday, but for now I'm happy I get to enjoy this one.
