I think the fact that nothing X-Men-related has been announced so far for Phase 4 says that Marvel doesn't want to rush the introduction. That they want a good plan to roll out quality movies. So it may not be soon, but when they come, they should be comparable in quality of the Marvel movies so far. That suggests that any first appearance has at least some promise. I half expect them to do some sort of adaptation of House of M (not completely faithful, obviously, since mutants aren't currently around) to sort of retrofit mutants into the MCU, so we don't have to start from scratch with all of them as brand new characters

Marvel Spotlight #28 (first MK solo story) should have its day soon too.

Without knowing the grades on those books, you can't really say. New Mutants 98 would have to be at least a 9.6 to be worth considering at that price. Am I missing something about Deadly Foes? The only book I can think of is the mini from the '90s and I thought that was dollar-bin fodder.

I had an auction end with one bid, and got this message after a couple of days: "Apologies, but could you please cancel the transaction. I found the issue in my local comic shop, and bought it figuring I would not win the auction because I was the first and only bidder so far. So sorry for any inconvenience." You thought you wouldn't win because so far you're the only one that has shown interest? Anyway, I didn't respond to the message and I'd been debating whether to file a non-payment, or just let it go, and then the buyer ended up paying, without sending a follow up message. Odd

High-grade *slabbed* copies of a book selling for $35 isn't a surefire investment. Especially when the username of the person promoting it is the same as the name of the book

Tangents are the norm here. You're going to have to get used to that, especially since there's not a constant flow of books heating up. They come in spurts, and people discuss other aspects of the modern market during the lulls.

I'm assuming eBay makes the bulk of its money from final value fees. It's in their interest for things to sell for more money, so maybe they want to hide when something sells for less, as that keeps the perceived value down.

No. This came packaged with the Rai Trade Paperback, and since the early issues of that were low print run (for the time), they likely printed a ton of these. And they were all glossy.
