I could not agree more! The amount of time, care, love and planning we poured into Enormous was staggering. Wish readers would try and take the occasional risk but mainly people want more of what they already have. None of this is done or over however.

I understand your disappointment, Taz. I do and I'm sorry. But I'll do all that I can to finish this story.

Alright! Stuff has been-- busy. Want the full scoop? Here goes... Mehdi and I worked on Enormous for 6+ years. We both needed a break. Mehdi especially, to focus on anything but Enormous for a while and me to write some new books and also help Vault Comics launch through doing all of their design and some production work. In the meantime, Enormous was pitched overseas to various Chinese studios. We got close, at least a couple of different times, with good talent attached too, but things have since cooled for different reasons out of my control. Enormous has been given a rest as both Adrian Askarieh and I work on several other projects-- some my own, others for different creators. Right now, I'm focused on my mew titles; Atoll, Fissure, Spiritus & Morning Star while chipping away at the scripts for the entire 3rd Arc of Enormous. We'll return. At some point. And we might return as we did previously w/ Mehdi on art or we might return with a new artist (and Mehdi too) or we might even return with a different title within the Enormous world. I've got several strategies in mind, because ultimately I can't justifiably ask Mehdi to illustrate a book that consumes so much of his time for so little in return. I also can't expect readers to wait around forever or even care. But, I've got a story to tell and that's my only objective. For those of you at SDCC this year, I strongly encourage you to come by the Vault Booth - 1530. We've got so many cool exclusives, many super limited and several great creators appearing for signings. And I'll be bringing the following, so I hope to see you all there! It is personal. Telling me I'm FOS? Yep. Personal. Now, critiquing my books, my work, the art? I don't take that personally. I learned the first time a book I worked months on got crushed in a review. It stung my ego. Sure. But - attack me as a person, especially with ZERO knowledge of what you're accusing me of or the circumstance and stakes involved? Personal. And I don't go for the "it's just the internet". That excuses their behavior. I do go in for human decency, decorum, debate and discussion.

Of course the Raffle happened! A long time ago. We raised $700+ for Autism. We've since raised several hundred more for Cancer Research. Not a DIME went in my pocket and I funded the entire thing (prints, shipping, my own comp books) myself.

Well this has turned out to be an entertaining visit. The CBSI forum even more so. That was fun! Everyone is obviously within their right to question what's going on-- the when, the how. the who - etc. But to Linguini and Trey, I am not FOS. Unless you are me or Adrian or anyone else that has worked very hard these last several months, you could not possibly know anything of any material value. Right? So why waste the time! Read a comic. In what way? I suspect you mean that it did not reference 215INK? Yes, had I the chance to proof this PR/article that certainly would have been amended. And for the record, we've moved on from 215INK after a great run. They gave us a great second life and now we need to evolve. Can't thank those guys enough and will do so as we move forward w/ more announcements. Yes that is what im reffering to. Glad to see the news is verified by the man himself. So moving publishers and article mentioned image comics, is that some sort of leaked clue? Or did i miss an announcement? Not a clue. Shadowline-Image was a great start, gave us life. 215INK really boosted our life span. Where we go from here will be announced soon enough.

So, yeah - we've been a little busy. Both Mehdi and I have contributed heavily to the adaptation. Characters, designs for creatures, posters, key art and a series of production presentations. In the meantime, we've been working up Season 3. Covers and arc outline. We purposely delayed the release of the next arc for this reason and since we've also moved publishers. Caught up? You all actually missed me!?! I missed you too. Always know that if and when I disappear it only means one thing - WORK. Lots of work. Which is good! So, I'm back for a bit. Here's some news: - The option/adaptation. We've moved on from our previous arrangements to something truly extraordinary. Both the producer and I have been hard at work to create something fairly unprecedented for Enormous. I can't offer details yet, but this is a BIG clue: Mehdi and I have been starting up Season 3, which is entitled "PERMUTATIONS". Expect a convergence of storylines, some big reveals and some massive momentum. it will be a bit before we move on to release the next issue as we have TPB Vol2. (did you order it?) and the Field Guide with more Colossal to release between arcs. Take a look at some covers for Season 3 in progress, first is a new cover dress for the next arc. Evolve or perish, right? And NO ONE has seen this one yet since it's a WIP and reveals Ellen 2.0. She's definitely growing into her role as a leader and outside the story-- slowly becoming an action-hero in the mold of Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley (see where she got her name?) So, hope that brings you up to date. Wish I could spill more beans but I can't jeopardize all of our hard work and your support by blabbing. I'll be back!

Hey-Hey! Been a while since I checked in as my creative life got very creative. Came here not expecting to even be able to find the thread and I see it's still got a pulse. That was a welcome surprise! So, here's some news I can share: - TPB #2 & #1 are solicited. You can find them in Previews or use the following order codes" #2 - STL009399 and for #1 (still only $9.99!) STK665003 - #12 is definitely on the way to shops and as it closes Season 2, it's extra long. I wrote the outta it. And Mehdi delivered some killer work. It was slow to print because we were slow. Our fault. - #12 has what might be the final alternate cover for some time. Maybe, no promises, but the alternates and variants have a place and time. And we'll be more select in the future. Even if it comes at hit to our sales numbers. Roc Upchurch closes this Season with a beautiful rendition of Ellen. - #13-19 are going to have the best covers of the series to date. We're doing staggering cinematic wraparounds and Mehdi is painting them digitally. They are like nothing you've seen yet. Promise. I'll share them here first. - ADAPTATION. There was movement this week. New movement. Very important parties with potential involvement and progress. That's all I can say. We're FAR from dead I can assure you of that. - Ellen 2.0 Expect a time-jump of a few months to start Season 3 and things are going to change for our cast all the way around. - Look for a "silent" issue which will spotlight two major monsters. - Enormous is going to get 2 foreign language translations!
