Got this a few days ago! It has a Moon Girl story, Ive never read one of those! Hopefully its good!

I live in St Louis an it would only be a 3 hr drive, so I would definitely consider it. I’m also part of a local group of collectors and I know most of them travel as far as five hours to go to shows. let me know the date and time and I know a few sellers that might be interested as well.

274-282 Adventures into Terror 4- A few fun stories in this one War against Crime 6- EC Crime! Mystic 25- Cool Zombie cover! Vault of Horror 31 & 38- Ive been looking for these 2 books for awhile. I always lose them on ebay. Found both at a small show same dealer! Nellie the Nurse 12- Always thought this was a funny cover. Crime Suspenstories 6- Great cover, good read. Voodoo 3- First of this title I own and it was good. Marvel Tales 108- always liked the cover, OK stories

Thanks @OtherEric and @fifties for your service! I got this today and Im only missing one more to have all of them! Its not technically an EC but it is a Jack Davis cover and it’s a tales from the crypt book so I’m counting it like the others Ive gotten this year. It is an original story by Vincent Courtney.

Ive always seen this Nellie the Nurse 12 cover and thought it was funny so I found a reader for cheap. It NOT in my collecting zone at all but Ill read it sometime! Also is this considered GGA? And the Men in Action 1 is a cool cover. 12 o'clock midnight and the fight is on!

@jsilverjanet I lurk a lot. But share my new books in the appropriate thread. The main reason I lurk is by the time I find a thread to chime in on, my opinion has been stated by someone else. Or I have to read 3+ pages. But with this thread I didnt read any of it other then your first post.

My book is pretty cheap compared to all of these great books but I never thought Id get a copy of Shock Suspenstories 6 for under $1000 (got mine for well under which made my budget happy). My focus is EC and I have a very small budget. I have most of the big books but cant imagine getting a Crime Suspenstories 22 at any price now.

I got these a few months back but never posted these in this thread. These are the only 2 Fiction House books I own. Im an EC collector, but when I got these I was happy!

Its been awhile, so heres my update! 261-273 Confessions Illustrated 1 Shock Illustrated 2 Terror Illustrated 1-2 All of the EC Illustrated books were very nicely done! Nightmare 12 I always liked this cover, decent stories War Against Crime 5 Beta Ray Bill 1-5 Daniel Warren Johnson kicks Flash 54 Great one shot story! Marvel Fanfare 18 Frank Miller cover and art, This has to be my favorite Cap story.

First copy of this title! Hopefully its a good read.

So today was a GREAT day! I went to a small show that was pretty dead (Quad city con here in St Charles 35 min out from St Louis). Ive been to all 3 that they have done here and they have all had great turnout, especially this past spring. But today it was not very busy. I know a few dealers and they all said it was slow but the people were nice. One guy though had THE books for "flippers", they were nice mid to upper mid books priced at FMV via ebay ,but he under graded, 90% keys, so he did quite well. I saw a few deals at his booth and it was insane, made me kick myself for not looking at his booth since I was the 20th person in the show. Oh well, now for the Great day part of the story... I killed it on the EC collecting side of things!!! Lets start with 2 essentially free books Land of the Lost 4 & 6. These were part of a deal where I was friends with the dealer and I bought a VOODOO 3 from. He said he found them in a barn. They are water damaged and beat up but the covers are attached and they are complete. With these 2 I have 3 of this title. Next, Two Fisted Tales 37 & 41 Both are complete and paid $8 apiece. I was hoping that the 41 would be an upgrade but its not. Crime Suspenstories 6 Ive always liked this cover and was super happy to pick it up from a fellow boardie/dealer! I hope he dosnt mind the shout out @SSkufan THANKS! Now for my 2 big ones! Vault of Horror 31 & 38 Now these 2 and the CSS6 are nicer mid grade books so I know what you're thinking "Raze you say you're the low grade king but youve been getting some nicer copies what happened?" My answer "extra hours at work"! I couldn't be happier with the conditions of the last 3 books and with the price tags as well! 38 is such a hard black cover! So thanks for reading my rambling post! Ill be post my copy of VOODOO 3 in the precode thread after!

Have you been to this in the past? Is it more comic dealer oriented or entertainment? Also Im looking for an excuse to go back to Tennessee…

Went to Tennessee for a family trip and stopped but Great Escape and Ricks Comics in Nashville! I recommend going to both stores! I also went to Zs Comic Lair. They had some nice wall book but I didnt get anything there. And if you can get a copy of Marvel Fanfare 18 you should! Such a great single issue Cap by Frank Miller! The MAD 1 is the recalled version. Surprised to find one in the wild.
