  1. I've had many deals here for 3 yrs now so I thought it was time I put up a feedback thread.  It's funny I was buying from several reputable online dealers for 5-6 yrs before I joined the boards only to find out they were members here already....small world!

I sold a copy of this classic real fast early on in this thread in slightly lessor condition. Was digging around yesterday and found another copy...

Startling Stories March 1950 Thrilling Pubs

Yep, it's "that" cover! Hot blonde witch flying around the night sky in her undies.

Nice copy. Has square, tight spine with full paper. Cover is bright and complete with no missing pieces or creases. A few minor edge tears common with pulps. Has some VERY light waterstains on cover. No severe damage or musty smell. Interior paper is yellowed but supple with no tears or creases.

    $50.00

The Private Life of Helen of Troy Paperback 1948 Popular Library #147

Hubba hubba now this is a "headlights" cover! This kinda stuff was read under the covers with a flashlight back in the day...

Very nice copy. No tears or creases. Even has full glossy lamination with always torn off. A couple small marks and minor wear on back cover left/top edge. Spine is tight and square with full paper. Interior paper is bone white! Expand your GGA horizons with a cheap classic!

    $25.00

Thanks for the link. Interesting that some titles have a gap of 10 months apart, due to the vacation home stay time frame. Wow, and the only Spiderman book was an Amazing Fantasy 15...and more DC related too.

No problem, it's amazing the two brothers took such good care of their books, that plus a good environment to store them.

Marvels and DCs I think. The internet links that I used to browse the comics in the run are no longer active. Most had the same PQ.

Here is a link to the history of the Maine Summer Vacation Home Collection, when you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is another link that will show a portion of comics in the collection...even the AF15 when it was raw and after grading.

  6. I picked up an awesome copy of Avengers #181 from Mike and it was accurately graded, and as has been stated in previous comments his packaging is nothing short of phenomenal! I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

  7. I've been lurking on these boards for around 5 years now and finally got around to joining just recently. Been reading/collecting comics since the early 70's but as a pre-teen all of them except literally 2-3 got trashed. If only I knew then what I know now! but oh well that's life.

I got back heavy into collecting in 2009 when a buddy at work told me "Obama is going to be on the cover with Spiderman" that's all it took, of course I got a lot of the variants but I quickly turned that around and went after modern, copper, bronze, and silver-age keys. Especially the bronze era where I remember having 181 Hulk among others.

I definitely didn't think I'd amass 5,000 some odd comics in 5 years but it is a hobby that I'm proud to be a part of. It seems when you try to slow down collecting that "awesome deal" comes along and you try to go after it. The collectors/dealers I've met have been awesome it's just a great hobby that I'm glad to be a part of.
