At some point buyers get what they deserve with some of these listings. Paying over market value for a book with bad pictures is pretty risky. Its easy to look at this seller and see the obvious example because we see the listings he originally won and what the grades were. Now think of the thousands of books in the same exact situation where they weren't bought on ebay. I just assume this happens all the time.

Just run it through your dishwasher. That will remove the tape nicely.

The important lesson here. Never take the book out of the bag.

I thought about it in the beginning, but the shipping was too much. I used to get it at Barnes and Nobles before Diamond carried them. Now I have a subscription at my LCS.

My wife made me this. She has a crafting side business. Shameless plug here. She is going to be producing stickers, decals and a few other things for the Frazetta museum.

To be clear I'm not saying it is always a bad idea. But some random transaction on ebay? Sounds like a terrible idea.

If I was a seller it would seem a bit suspect. Why would the buyer just not save up the money first and then buy it outright? I would be concerned that they have no capacity for unexpected expenses and then not be able to follow through.

I don't venture into that end of the pool, but I can't imagine spending thousands of dollars on raw books on Ebay unless it was coming from someone I trusted.
