  1. I thought we had a thread about this, but can't find it. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/ebay-pay-3-million-penalty-180821841.html EBay has agreed to pay $3 million to resolve a U.S. criminal probe into a campaign by several of its employees to stalk and harass a Massachusetts couple whose online newsletter was viewed as critical of the e-commerce company. Federal prosecutors in Boston said on Thursday that eBay had entered into a deferred prosecution agreement to resolve the case after seven former eBay workers admitted to participating in an extensive campaign in 2019 that involved sending the couple cockroaches, fly larvae and a bloody Halloween pig mask.
  2. I'm about 30 pages behind. Any word from CGC as to what processes or procedures they actually changed to catch this in the future?
  3. From Sotheby's 1991 auction catalog. I believe the Vampirella cover sold for around 77K.
  4. Not a spinner rack, but seemed like the best place for this. I had no idea these existed.
  5. Early bird gets the worm. Great pick up.
  6. While I agree "no returns" can certainly be a red flag, I absolutely don't think it is a get out of jail free card. To me that only covers someone changing their mind on the purchase with no claims of damage, etc.
  7. I kept a nice box from Amazon this morning that I might use for packing.
  8. Were there always scans available? And for all we know maybe some people did notice. And returned the books back to the seller.
  9. Well if you are a collector and have the books you have because you want them and not an investor or seller everything you said makes zero sense. I have never sold a book in my life. I'm sure I have some that have dropped in value. I don't care. Apart from that your agonizingly long endeavor to prove your "point" was painful to watch.
  10. My favorite part was "I'm going to reach out to CGC to see what they advise"
  11. The scammer is probably on the phone with CGC telling them the books are good, just cross them off the list.
  12. Who the hell would send a book like that? But to your question, I would certainly hope any seller would take responsibility for that and pay for return shipping.
  13. Was he resubmitting all the higher grade books he swapped out to get new holders? Or was he buying all those directly? But if they didn't have a process in place to flag anything like this they may have had no way of noticing.
  14. I've been thinking about putting my mystery box together.
