  1. These early westerns are pretty tough, especially in nice shape. I don't collect westerns per se but i'll always grab a nice "type set" type like this one just to represent if the deal is right That Ace site lists Wild Horse Range as by Saunders
  2. Nice site - I don't think i'd come across that one before. I just got some Aces in so i'll share... Found a decent looking copy of D-36 for the right price - it has moisture wrinkling on the Brackett flip side but is very square and minimal creasing. Been looking for one since I sold my collection in the 90's. Saunders didn't quite capture my thought of what Conan would look like but hey, neither did Brundage and I still like 'em both I think the Schultz cover on Sword of Rhiannon is a better composition
  3. Pat, you've got great collections No matter what someone posts you always seem to have a thing or two in the wheelhouse
  4. Very nice - it looks like these later works were softer & more refined than the Avon -although that could be a publisher thing because many Avons of that time period had that more defined brushwork.
  5. I posted "Bad Girl" by Vina Delmar before as a "JD" type book because she was a bad ... girl... - so here ya go. Not JD at all but still classic Avon Romance and condition scarce like this...
  6. A period atomic war story by Hamilton and Bergey cover. Lots to love. This is 164 pages and 1/2 inch taller in 1950.
  7. It looks like they were only 116 pages from Summer 1944 through Spring 1948. This one is pretty small too, almost like a GA comic book annual. It's been quite a while since I played with these so it's interesting seeing all the variations over the years.
  8. Those .38's sure blinded me lol. This issue is smaller and skinnier than most, and only 15 cents. Canadian?
  9. A whole bunch of stuff coming in this week so i'll be posting a bunch more - This is my new favorite Hillbilly cover...I've never seen a copy before and this one is sweet hi grade... UniBooks truly had some of the most tawdry tales (tails?)
  10. There's nothing quite like the colorful look of a stack of minty Avon spines... Feels like a Time Machine to a long gone newsstand.
  11. Hillbillies gotta get some love too - Uni-Book 36 with a classic cover
  12. I like when digests arrive in the mail - Cameo Book 318, Island Ecstasy with some sweet Good Girl cover art.
  13. Can't go wrong with space babes in test tubes Nice copy too!
  14. The 1st issue of Private Detective Stories was one of the first pulps I ever had many years ago. I sold my copy because I didn't have proper storage conditions for it and it was browning badly. Saw a chance to get a copy again so I took it. Great Ward Hatchet Murderer cover...
  15. Great that you can still experience the in-hand discoveries Here's something that was randomly in with some vintage 50's pb's I bought on the web recently. Since i've been reading some pulps lately, I may just read it but I hope it doesn't make me get the G-8 bug because it looks like there's some cool covers on the original pulps.
