  1. Willard by Stephen Gilbert Lancer Books 75189-095 1968 1st PB Edition $25 Rat horror Movie Tie-In cover. This movie gave me nightmares when I was kid. VF Minus. Square, glossy and new looking, unread. Has a small edge bend with tiny tear at top edge. No creases otherwise and just a touch of edgewear.
  2. Magnum Force by Mel Valley Warner Books 76-501 1974 1st Edition $25 SOLD to goldust40 Clint Eastwood classic pose. Movie tie-in VF/VF plus Unread, glossy and new, has some light surface wear from storage but real fresh and nice.

Glossy and tight, slight spine slant. Reader crease and some edge wear. Pages browning as usual with Ballantines, light stain to upper page edge.

  11. Yes, "Flirtin' With Disaster" that is probably the most famous use. It was a couple years after the Kane pb. Even more famous now after the sale of the original.
  12. Dark Crusade by Karl Edward Wagner Warner Books 88-154 1st Edition, 1st Printing $60 SOLD to mstrange 1st appearance of Frazetta's "Dark Kingdom" Kane Very Fine. Solid, square and glossy, appears unread, no reader crease, a couple of spine tics on back. Not much else to say, a pretty sweet copy.
  13. Darkness Weaves by Karl Edward Wagner Pocket Books 89-598 First Printing January 1978 $45 SOLD to N e r V Awesome Frazetta Kane wrap around cover. Very Fine minus. Unread, glossy and tight with almost no spine or edgewear. Has a ding at top of back cover corner. Looks brand new otherwise.

Square, tight and glossy with virtually no creasing, really tough for such a fat book. Super glossy, inner covers toning, some dust soiling on back. About as good as it gets for this one.
  15. Naked Sin by Gordon Clark Avon T-244 PBO 1st Edition 1958 $15 SOLD to goldust40 Great title. Clark Hulings GGA Fine Plus. Solid and square. Glossy and tight with great color, a light crease on front cover, a few spine dimples. Nice.
  16. Case of the Billion Dollar Body by Joseph Shallit Avon 538 1954 $20 SOLD to goldust40 Pistol whipping cover Very Fine minus Spine has slant but is uncreased. Glossy and tight with great color, a few beds, light edgewear. A real nice copy.
  17. 12 Chinks and A Woman by James Hadley Chase Avon 485 1952 $45 SOLD to mstrange Violent GGA cover art, one of the toughest and most sought after late Avons. Tough to find in any condition. This one is qualified. Looks Fine or better from the front, has the edge of the first couple of pages cut back a little (presumably to not peek out from the covers, which notoriously shrink back on Avons), some marker on front page. Has some staining and wrinkling on the back and a split at bottom spine. Despite the mentioned flaws, a pretty nice looking copy.
  18. Casanova's Homecoming by Arthur Schnitzler Avon 160 1948 $20 SOLD to davet75 GGA by J. Biernacki, one of the early Avon artists who not much is known about. Fine/VF Square, sharp, bright and glossy with light edgewear, a real nice copy of this one.

  20. Elmer Gantry by Sinclair Lewis Avon NN #1 1941 2nd print with 16 titles on the back (1942) $25 SOLD to goldust40 The first Avon book. Historical book that is pretty tough to find without a lot of creases. Fine/Fine plus. Square and tight, a few light creases. Pages toning but still supple, and a small stain to cover edge and a couple of the page edges.
