  11. Finger Man by Raymond Chandler Avon 219 1949 $35 SOLD to goldust40 One of Chandler's best hard boiled noirs. Great Avon GGA nipple cover. Probably by Raymond Johnson. Fine. Spine is tight with slight slant. Colors are bold, covers are smooth with light wear, mostly to the edges and corners. Foxing, light stains to top of covers. Overall a very nice copy.

Here's one that must be in any vintage pb collection (or book collection at that!) Brave New World by Aldous Huxley Bantam Books A1071 1951 Classic cover by Charles Binger $60 SOLD to NerV A very nice copy of one of the great dystopian classics, the first one I've ever been able to sell as I slightly upgraded mine. Fine Plus - Square solid and glossy, no creasing, pages toning, slight stain to first couple pages.
  13. Some of the ones you posted look fully hand painted, some fully photo, and some, like the one I have, look like a photo that has been painted in.
  14. Yeah, this is a pretty odd title. Some of those covers are great, you'll always hear me protest that I don't collect photo covers but there's some that I will and those are the type Here' the indica and the title page (which is tucked to the side on the last page) With only 48 pages I guess they didn't want to waste prime space at the front crediting writers Offices were at 731 Plymouth in Chicago, at the heart of printers row. The building still stands. Looks just like the printing building in New York I used to go to to hand carry in my college newspaper floppy disk for printing when I was editor many years ago
  15. Picked off this Official Detective March 15th, 1937 (It was 2x a month, pretty cool! and pretty skinny, 48 pages) This is definitely the largest magazine I've got now. It's huge. She doesn't really have headlights, but she's got a gun, so there's that to love Compare to this American Detective, which is a pretty large mag! I don't even own a bag for this size.

  18. Paprika by Eric Von Stroheim Beacon B157 1958 $20 Novel by the famous actor/screenwriter/director sports a bare breasted Gypsy GGA cover, attributed to Robert Stanley. Considered a classic since the first Hancer Price Guide was published. Very Good plus/Near Fine. Square tight and bright, has a reading crease and staining to the back upper half of the pages. Still a very presentable copy.
