  1. I did a few big board sales last year and am gearing up to do my first of '24 in the next couple of weeks. It may be epic
  2. Got this classy piece of leg art in and love everything about it
  3. October 1955 Manhunt. Caldwell, Ellson, Brewer, Craig, Halliday - quite a line up in this one
  4. Inside Detective, August 1939. Cover by Harwood Forsgren. A bit dingy but when it comes to 1930's crime mags
  5. It's one of Raymond Johnson's most iconic covers so I'm in the club, 'natch
  6. Darings are swell, I love the 1930's books. The Master Detective, September 1934. Cover art by Dalton Stevens. Sucks when you pull that Death Card... I like the Lantern logo on the early issues.
  7. Pyramid Books #11, 12 & 14, published in 1949, the equivalent of #1, 2 & 3 since #11 is the first in the series and there was no unlucky #13 If you didn't already know I was crazy about this little series, I'm crazy about this little series
  8. Some friday fun I got a real nice publication/stage/screen history of Rinehart's "The Bat" from Ed Hulse on another post recently. The 1929 & 1930 movies are considered to be influences on "The Batman" comic character. The Dell Mapback is pretty tough in any shape, especially with the lamination intact. The later printing (#652) with the textured cover is quite cool as well. Just read "A Ticket To Hell" in the Black Lizard edition and man, what a great period the mid 1950's was for Whittington. A real taut suspense read. Eurasian Girl by Richard Grant, pseudonym of Dr. Joseph Calvitt Clarke. Uni-Book #30, 1952. Cover art by Warren King. A pretty spectacular Uni-Book, a series fraught with cheap paper covers that are usually trashed. Unnatural by Sloane Britton, pseudonym of Elaine Williams. Midwood No. 47 1960. Cover art by Paul Rader. I wish I could find more lesbian GGA books to buy because any undercopies sell practically instantly in my ebay store, no matter what price I put on 'em Queer Affair by Carol Emery. Beacon Books B377 a 1961 second print of the earlier B135 PBO from 1957. Cover art by Frank Uppwall. A blazing mint copy with white pages. I'll probably sell it but just finding and owning this copy is a one of those experiences that make collecting vintage pbs fun
  9. I know I didn't have any Silk Stocking Stories (and there's a couple of Cardwell Higgins covers so I will have to get after those eventually since I can't get enough Cardwell Higgins since @Pat Calhoun pointed out his artwork on the Atlas Digests a while back ) September 1937 and December 1937 respectively. You gotta love the playful lil' pup
  10. I don't think I have any Spicy Stories so was happy to get these in. April 1933 and April 1934. The interiors are spicier than I imagined - actual nudes and plenty of 'em. Definitely seem like the Playboy of their time.
  11. Definitely very cool interiors. Here's one from the 1942 Amazing above, Simon was gone but the layouts are still cool and usually one or two great illos. This one is killer. I'll definitely be looking out for more, even though I don't generally collect photo cover mags, these have a great look to them and the interiors are very cool.
  12. Congrats, that was a nice book too I wanted to go fairly hard at the Siren so couldn't bid on all of them. They went fairly reasonable though imho
  13. It's not just about GGA and scifi/horror/suspense for me. Honest! I collect all the classics I love as well. Got a nice upgrade to Hiroshima by John Hersey, Bantam 404 from 1948. Cover art by Geoffrey Biggs. One of those timeless covers that tells more by what you can't see even than by what you can.
  14. A couple of killer Amazing Detective mags with painted covers by Driben and Saunders. I have the Cardwell Higgins covers so have most of the painted covers now. A sweet little series.
  15. The Will To Kill by Robert Bloch. Ace S-67 PBO 1954 Covert art by Rafael DeSoto I've been looking for a very nice copy with no corner creases for a very long time. One of the only Ace's I really want that I didn't have
  16. Redhead alert, with killer leg art on this one
  17. I'll catch what she's throwing I like the sports & music theme covers a lot.
  18. Well, this happened, the December 1934 Film Fun with the classic Motorcycle Siren cover by Bolles. I don't have too many Girlys but wanted this issue for the longest time so was super pumped to get one. It's my favorite Film Fun along with the Snake Charmer.
  19. You're really trying to separate me from my wallet with this information
