  1. Wow...that video did not do Dinesh and favors lol.  Looks to be posted in late September and here we are in 2018 now and nothing still.

Valiant may be good with comics, but that's where the line is drawn.  Maybe if Vin does sign on, they can get some other people to come on board that actually know how to make things materialize...or is Dinesh a control freak?

  2. I have no idea how Vin feels about Dinesh, but as for the money thing -- Vin could do something like ask for a decent percentage of the film's take, and cross his fingers that the movie does well.

I'm not really even a Vin Diesel fan, but I can definitely see the guy going for the role.

On another Valiant topic -- what ever happened to that trailer for the web series that we were supposed to see?

  3. Why would Vin Diesel be opposed to taking the part?  He is a lifelong nerd.  He digs comic movies.  He also loves being the star of a movie.  I'd bet my last slice of Velveeta (I don't actually eat that stuff) that he signs on.

...and like someone else already mentioned, why would anyone bring up Magnus #12?  What does that book have to do with anything current Valiant?  A whole bunch of nothing.

  4. This is the first one that I just didn't care about.  Doesn't grab me at all, especially for that price.  If it were a regular issue, I'd gladly pay $4 for it.

I'll find it for cheap some day and all will be well in the universe then.

Seems to me there were a lot better choices left on the table still than K2, but whatevers clever...

Any love for this as 1st Black Adam cover? I'm half-kidding... but only half:

There's also some interior stuff in this fanzine and it is comic book sized...I don't see why it shouldn't count as his 2nd app and first cover app.

Captain Marvel (and fam) already went from Fawcett to DC and then lost his own name, so abnormal stuff surrounding these characters shouldn't have to be overlooked.  :)

Well, speaking strictly for myself, I can't even follow your question.   I don't know the reference material you are referring to and not sure if you're asking about north american or japanese first appearance, or what.    I thought it was macross 1 in the US as probably so do many people.   If you have any other info, sharing it might help us understand

We all know that Macross 1 is the first as far as North America is concerned, but I mean THE FIRST.  What Japanese item contains the very first printed appearance of the Macross storyline/characters?

The reference material that Svea used was one of these - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Dimensional-Fortress-Macross-1-in-Japanese-in-1982-/162549882370?hash=item25d8ba5e02:g:AXsAAOSw1WJZMycD

I have a copy of it as well, but was never able to nail down if that was the first printed source or if there existed anything previous.

  7. What is the first printed appearance of Macross?

A while back I saw some Ebay auctions with Svea Macek's source material for the Robotech stuff (it was a manga series that obviously predated our comic version.)  I had wondered for a long while now what the actual first printed appearance of Macross was and curious if this might have been it.  I searched online and wasn't able to come up with any definitive answers.  Anyone here have any information on this?

    Thank you!

Some books I am seeing moving well currently. No real surprises overall, but some books are really starting to move.

ASM 316 - This book is on fire passing $50 raw easily now in high grade.

X-Men 266 getting close $100 raw now surprised to see it going this high.

Marvel Age 82 - All over the place, but is selling well with high sales at around $30

    ASM 344 - A once $15 book is now approaching $30-40 in NM+ raw

Wolverine 88 - Finally this book is seeing some attention. Couple of sales over $20 raw now.

    Macross 1 - 1st Robotech - $20-40 in high grade.

Superman Annual 11 - I don't get this book, but others do it sells easily for $50 raw in NM.

Silver Surfer 44 and 45 still pulling $15-20 an issue.

I've been curious for a while about where the actual first printed appearance of Macross is in?  I saw some Ebay auctions a while back that were selling Svea Macek's source material and it was a manga, but I wondered if that particular one was the actual first.  Any insight would be appreciated.

J Scott's site has now changed to April 24th as the ship date for both X-Men Gold and Blue.  First they increased the print run then they change the shipping date (for reprint interior Gold?)...the shady way these books are being handled is really pushing me away from purchasing anymore from him....

So his books wont have the controversial material within?  Interesting.

  10. I'm wondering if those are The New Mutants that we will be seeing in the upcoming Marvel project.  I was trying to figure out who some of them were...but there was definitely Rictor and Sunspot and they mentioned Gideon multiple times.  I was wondering if one of those kids was Sam and another Rahne...there was quite a few of them.
