I love the internal sigs, and think you've hit the sweet spot with grade too...nice book! (thumbsu I'm a little jealous...I was trying to do the exact same thing you did last year (upgrade my 8.0 for a 9.0ish with internal sigs), but wasn't successful...doh!

I agree as well.  A nice round "9" (or higher!) makes me sleep so much better at night...on this book and silver age stuff.  Stick with it man!  I don't like selling my books outright and then trying to upgrade, because I fear I might not find be able to find a better copy.  After a few dozen tries, I finally found the right person and the right deal. My book, plus cash, for the upgrade.  Be persistent and stay patient! (thumbsu

  2. I randomly came across Kevin's TMNT1 on EBay.  I messaged him about it and realized we were both on this forum.  Within 3 short emails, a 4 figure trade/cash deal was reached and I'm now the new(permanent!) owner of his gorgeous white page 9.0! ^^

Facts: Gifted payment....Ridiculously fast shipping....Extremely safe packaging! :applause:(worship)

Wouldn't hesitate at all to do business again! :tink:

  3. Got a gorgeous Iron Man 12 from Michael.  Priced very fairly for us Boardies and some of the best & safest packaging I've ever seen.  A fellow collector that is very easy to deal with and I look forward to giving more of his books a new home! :tink:

  4. Brian responded to my "WTB" thread with an amazing Iron Man 55 CGC 9.4. Within 24 hours, a price was agreed upon and the book was already on its' way to me. Even felt comfortable enough to gift the payment, after a quick reference check.

Would not hesitate to deal again! Thanks!

  5. That price is monstrous. He's had that book sitting on the studios site for a while and it sold for more than original ask (I think it was around 3800, don't remember to be honest)

You are right, it was $3800. I came across it the day after I bought my 7.5. I figured the "cool factor" on that book...coming from him and getting a COA of sorts, even though it wasn't his copy....would fetch a little over FMV....but that $4250 is crazy!! Maybe/Hopefully the new owner is a member in here and will show us his new admission ticket to the group!!

  6. I'm happy either way! I'm such a huge fan of the Turtles...I don't even see the "flaw" on the corner. I see a completely flat, 4 sharp cornered, wrinkle free, no color breaking creased copy of my ultimate grail book!! I believe CGC will be at the con as well as DWC next month...so I'm gonna be up front and ask them both. Don't wanna risk any sneaky behavior on a book like this.

Thanks for all the info/input though guys! I'll post an update after I talk with them in a month.

  7.

Just a thought... have Eastman or Laird use a black marker, fill in the color scrape with some type of sketch... sign it... CGC 9.4 SS. lol

Is that possible?! I'm seeing Eastman at a con here in Vegas next month!! Gonna talk that over with my rep

  8. Looooooove looking at all these!!! Ol' ShellHead is my fav....so, here's the centerpiece of my collection!

I've never seen a double signed TOS with Larry and Stan. That is phenomenal. Nice sig placement as well. I guess a big shiny about to blast a Destroyer Mark VI isn't too shabby either! Sick stuff!

Much appreciated dude!! I got DWC to get them for me at their last Legends In The Fall Tour. I thought it might stand out
