  1. 20K schmeckles. Annnnnnnd it looks like I'll continue to search through bargain bins to try my luck
  2. Out of interest, after a recent conversation in the general TMNT thread, has anyone seen (or own) a double cover #1? I unfortunately have not.
  3. I bit the bullet, couldn't resist! I just wish the diorama set was also for sale but I believe it was a one off for the con. Speaking of a Gold Turtlemania, how many schmeckles should I be saving for? (if the chance to own one ever arrives) I haven't see any others pop up for sale of late.
  4. Hopefully a #1 9.8? I'm still deciding if I bite the bullet on the NECA TMNT arcade figures from this year's SDCC (I used to play the arcade to death back in my youth)
  5. That's a great looking book there - I too love the sig placement (I don't think it detracts from it at all)
  6. Oh me likey very much! Great addition to the collection there Side note: my wife would kill me if I flew over to the US just to get a sig from Peter. She'd want to tag along too!
  7. I think I agree with this as well, keeping the book in original condition yet still getting a signature at the same time without running the gauntlet of regrading. It certainly would be nice to have like a signature sleeve of sorts as an attachment to the case that would still give the tick of approval from CGC.
  8. Here's a topic that has probably been discussed before but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway. For those that have the NM+ ratings without SS, have you at all considered breaking the slab to get Kevin and/or Peter's signature? With Kev doing the con circuit, he's a little easier to get to than the rare occasion Peter does signings. I've toyed with the idea of breaking my 9.8 before to go to a SS, but of course you run the risk of the grade being lowered and potentially losing value on the book. (side note: Peter *may* be attending Shellback Studios for FCBD signings - no word on SS rep so far from the TMNT thread) What's people's thoughts? Are people seriously considering this or are you happy to keep the book at it's current label/grade? I'm in Oz, so access is pretty much a deal breaker for me anyway.
  9. Wait, there was a pricing difference based on signing different issues? We don't have CGC SS here in Australia, but it sounds strange there isn't just a single price for a signature.
  10. Hmmm, I found another listing for $39 each as well here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-New-Mutants-98-Feb-1991-Marvel-1st-print-1st-Dead-Pool-and-Domino-/172070772539?hash=item2810379f3b:g:LEMAAOSwL7VWoK4f However, the item is no longer available and the user is no longer found. Delivery was from Hong Kong in this latest listing. I smell a possible rat ...
  11. Here's something that might put a smile on everybody's dial: Thought I'd spread some warm and fuzzys for the end of 2015. The scanner needs a clean but this is probably the best image I have of the book at the moment. Enjoy
  12. "Woah." ~ Neo. Dude, it looks like you can make your own club with all of those! If you ever decide to, you know, part with one of those beauties send a PM
  13. What is exceptionally cool about this picture is knowing that my copy is in that picture, somewhere. Haha, I thought the exact same thing! Always brings a smile to my face thinking that I own a small piece of history sitting right there.
  14. Peter those books are pretty darn cool. What fantastic additions to your collection
  15. Nice books guys! Been out of the game for a few months having to work overseas. Any other con exclusives coming out for the rest of year that have been announced yet?
  16. I can't wait for the crossover! I love Freddie's work - this is a commission of his that he did for my wife and I last year:
  17. Congrats on the purchase! I too was eyeing off that page 7 a week or so back when Kevin announced the OA was for sale. The wife would have killed me if I pulled the trigger. Glad it went to a fellow collector on the board however! Company bonus was going to get paid this week too, ! Nevermind. I can spend more time saving for some holy grails
