    Just do what most of my list of "saved sellers" have done: stop selling on eBay. Unless you're a big volume seller, the hassle has now surpassed the utility. I had some things I just gave away recently as opposed to the hassle of selling on there and making sure I'm ready for my shiny new 1099.

    It’s a great show with a cool vibe. Mostly vetted antiques and collectibles and not a lot of cheap imported carp and bathroom remodeling or gutter-guard booths. Pretty nice for people watching as well.

    Glad you found some books. I made the show as well (I make it about once every two years on coincidence alone). I didn’t buy any comics, but I did buy some old pop bottles, cigar boxes, movie magazines and several vintage potato sacks with nice graphics.

    Since many of you probably don’t venture into Comics General too often, I figured I’d post these group shots from a recent meet-up with an old collector friend I haven’t seen in some 18 months. Naturally, I’m thrilled with the variety of pulps as well as a smattering of cool old magazines as well. He has a knack for turning up darn cool stuff, and like most guys that have been collecting from the 1960’s on, he has encyclopedic knowledge on a broad swath of collectibles. Oh, and get this: he still reads most of the pulps he gets!

    I recently had a private garage sale with a longtime collector friend that I haven’t seen in almost 18 months. Needless to say, I was gleeful to add these cool books to my collection! I've never been able to resist Captain Futures, and titles like The Avenger and Golden Fleece are almost as irresistible. If you like toy trains, vintage bicycles, erector sets, etc., check out vintage American Boy or the Open Road For Boys magazines - the ads are pure magic.
