  1. I think this is how my family thinks we all act when we are around other comic collectors.
  2. Changed up the loose figure stand, My original plan was to make two of these and set them back to back on a case or table in the middle of the room. One side Cobra the other Joes. I may still at some point but for now red white and blue. Left the top white to either do the GI Joe graphic or knowing is half the battle.Going to switch to clear bases. Phillip
  3. I added a link to the Awing run. I used Tom Derby, nothing special at all just left over sealed ships and carded figures.
  4. Sweet, I like that style rack. Mr. Derby. I sold all my pre prod in 08. Awing run was probably the coolest I had, HC, Paint sample with swatches, FS, FS hand painted for pictures and a few heads at different stages, had the ship FS as well. Looking at what Hard copies go for I sold waaay to early. Had a Barada, Bib and parts of a Weequay along with the Awing run. I can dig up pics at some point.I think they are still listed on Toysrgus as me owning as I get facebook questions every year on them. http://theswca.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=51158
  5. For now this side of the room is done. I did drop off the rest of my Vintage Star Wars this week to be sold so aside from the loose set I think I have kicked that habit.
  6. Since there seems to be some love for ARAH. Here is my Cobra "Naval" shelf. Have a line on a Sealed AFA 85 Water Moccasin that I hope to close on shortly. The Action force box is not sealed but the rest on the shelf is. The EEL on the Brazilian gun is also Brazilian. I have had carded sets of both Gi Joe up to 87 (except Mutt and Junkyard oddly enough) and every SW cardback version for every figure. Tom Derby brokered my Star Wars collection in 08 but I actually enjoy collecting loose more now. Thanks for the kind words. Phillip
  7. Thank you it is a work in progress thinking of painting it like a flag then putting an acrylic top over it all.
  8. Correct, 89 Version.I had several test shots, paint sample a while back but only left with these two I think.
  9. Patrick, Eels and Dreadnoks are my two favorites in the line, easy to tell. The White figure is an engineering sample of Stalker. I have a Scrap Iron proto as well I need to dig out. Thanks Phillip
  10. Not really new but spending hours changing out O rings on the ARAH run. Have a ton of stuff still to dig out.
  11. Wow I am back to back in Sharon's kudos, but just bought some GA Wonder Woman and Sensation comics and she was super awesome to deal with, even made my wife happy!
  12. Not that I have noticed, there are enough differences that anyone wanting real G1 stuff will still pony up for it. I always viewed it as a cheaper way to introduce others into the line with the originals. I did flip some of the TRU Optimus Primes when they came out but I think they have settled back down a lot.
  13. Thanks, I am mostly interested in the Devastator set. Have the TRU re issues from 2001 and a few originals but never found a good boxed set of the Constructicons.
  14. I asked earlier but think either no one cares or no one has found them. Anyone found the Transformers G1 releases in Wal Mart?
  15. This book was on my want list from about 2013 until last year. What I noticed is the run up on it seemed to be leveraged on the success of the DC universe, as well as when people would offer a copy they would always build in the "potential" into the price. I was specifically looking for a 5.0. Going into 2015 there was a justifiable bump but every issue was being offered above GPA and just seemed a little stout. In reference I bought 3 Copies of ASM 1 at market or even below during that time that out gained BB28 by miles, A 5.0 Specifically on ASM 1, where I paid less than GPA in 2014 that I just let go in a package at three times the purchase price. Granted the ASM was purchased for my collection at the time and the multiples were bought with future trade/sale in mind as they were good buys. I guess the long winded point here was I never could land a single issue of BB28 for my personal collection due to the investment potential everyone was expecting. Now I plan on continuing to sit back and see when or if this book will continue to slide down to a price I am more comfortable with.
  16. Nice grab if someone on here grabbed that Camp coded Shadow Comics that just ended at 1227. I was under bidder and failed to make a last ditch run on it. Seemed cheap compared to others.
  17. Nothing with a gun on the cover or camo or motorcycle or knife?
  18. Pick up from @Nikelspot Wife thinks I am crazy as it is on my nightstand by the bed.
  19. Just completed another deal with Robert this time was over 22K. Solid buyer and again great person to deal with!
  20. No love lately for this book? With all the crazy price explosions I wonder what this one would do with some pop culture help.
  21. Very nice i know Tom well, pretty ruthless in a paintball match. I used to love hearing Eddie A tell stories about rocket fetts when they were finding them back in the day. Awesome grab! Phillip
  22. Thanks I have been following and the stories are very neat and the artistry of it all is unreal. I was just curious if there was any advance knowledge on this one.
