  1. This is not the same Porsche he built, that was a 550-03 my memory was hazy. This is one he bought from European Collectibles mis represented. Jerry is in turn suing them.
  2. I got #3. I was under bidder on #1 and 4th or 5th on #2 but did not swing hard at them.
  3. Not sure who all was watching but nice little set just ended on Ebay. First time I have seen issue #3 for sale in years.
  4. Tag swapping in vintage cars is not new. I used to pull vin and data plates way back in the day from cars I thought were cool in junkyards. I have also sold completely rotted shells of cars that had impressive features or options that I always figured would make it's way on to basic cars. VW busses for example. I would have to go back but it seems that Jerry restored that car and had tooling made to replace most of the parts using the same technology etc but it probably was only about 10% original car when done which is not uncommon any more in restorations. What is just as scary in that hobby is there have been "finds" of authentic data plates that were never used that someone could imprint whatever they wanted. I have a Porsche tag like that in my desk.
  5. They have 50 stores doing an endcap test starting next week To clear up the returnable for refund, these are pay for scan in their system.
  6. Pretty surprised when I was offered a stack of "old comics" I think a couple are Bakers.
  7. I was sorta forced to find my first. There was a Laundromat in the same shopping center that Titans Comics was in Riverdale Ga. We lived a good 30 miles from there so I never understood why my mom would drive all the way out there but she would take all our large items out that way. I was made to go one time and dreaded it but saw that place and was hooked. After that I would always try to speed up the trip to the laundromat. To that point I had been able to get comics from gas stations and drugs stores but to get to spend all day Saturday browsing was euphoric for me. They closed that location but Titans is still in business north of Atlanta. There was another place right down the street that I actually liked better, Fishers Comics or Fishers Books don't recall exactly as we just called it Fishers, but they had all the old stuff and I could get more for a few bucks. That place seemed huge although it may not have been. That became my favorite until I stopped collecting in 94 or so. Any other local South Ga collectors remember those? Phillip
  8. I hope, I have been priming my watch list!
  9. Was hoping for a Presidents day deal
  10. And for the record I have a Super Magician that nearly looks like a "g" but the coding and flow is all correct (has the coa as well).
  11. Glad I am not the only one who had the radar up on these. I got two notifications on Okajima and thought wow first time in 5 years that has happened, then looked and thought, well maybe one is legit.
  12. Mine was POTF that I bought then, I had a trilogo as well. I need to dig pics out. I did the POTF run in the late 90's, Nitko and GG on POTF were hardest for me to find. Ironically once i found one Nikto another became available and I got it as well. When I dropped everything off with Tom to sell I think it was around 480 carded figures. I did one of every Cardback version at first so SW, ESB, ROTJ and POTF then moved to the actual card backs on my favorites, so it was pretty in depth.
  13. I assume like others they did not know. Seems you and I were watching and until it hit some mass media it was barely moving on orders, I was around one of the first 500 like it matters but almost got multiples to sell since it was moving so slow. Seems like they needed 1500 going into the last week. I may sell it if that is the going rate as I doubt I ever display it anyway.
  14. There are some who have presold for 1500 and the Yak Face for 350, In the old days I paid 450 for my Original POTF yak that graded a 85..times have changed.
  15. Knocked one more off my Swamp Thing 1-10 9.2 or better. Shocked it is taking this long finding these with a nice wrap. Need #5 still. The National Comics 14 has been on the want list for a while, this will hold for a bit. And pedigree OOAW to lower shipping per book.
  16. Wow what a nice selection! Phillip
  17. I get notifications daily on FB since I search comics I guess. I think I will pass on this one though.
  18. I have a spinner rack and one of the free standing racks, I mix it up but usually keep December 73 books on one or the other, my birth year.
  19. Since those two went so fast, let's add a 9.6. Asking $1050 shipped in the CONUS. Although as everyone knows my ability to take pics are terrible but this book presents extremely well.
